a little bit of bangkok...

hi everyone,

hoped you guys had a great christmas and wishing everyone a very happy new year... only two more days to go before 2010!!! anyone doing something special to celebrate this year?

for me, i'm back in bangkok again and celebrating the new year with my family (sis is back from the states - haven't seen her since my wedding in 2008) and of course ruben is here with me. we spent the first few days in BKK and now we're in Hua Hin enjoying the sand and fresh breeze... unfortunately we will only be a the beach for two nights before heading back to BKK, but it's better than nothing right?

and before going back to playing around in the pool (our room has it's own pool!!!); here are some pictures from my trip so far...

sis with mango all around... that's all we've been having - a bit of mango everyday! mango ice cream, mango pudding, mango & sticky rice....

pictures of our lunch at the chatujak market - i always go to this one resturant for the papaya salad (my favorite is the type with the salty egg - it's really good if you haven't tried it yet).

yummy yummy and yummy again!

also been thinking about teaching... alot of the other ladies have started teaching... but I don't know what to teach... and if anyone would be interested (piradee thinking out loud)... uhmmm... anyone interested in making some calendar layouts??? (testing the waters first) **wink**

before disappearing again... here's a little christmas box that I did for the scrapgal GT but didn't have a chance to post it here yet... using the maya road embellishment packaging...

so sweet...

**warning... this is a very sweet post**

I usually don't go this... but with valentine not too far away and the fact that Ruben has been very supportive in my decisions lately, I just couldn't resist making a little something for him...

for this week assignment, I got to play with the new collection from 7gypsies and can't begin to tell you how much I adore this collection - Venice. It truly reminds me of the time when we were in Venice - the romantic gondola rides (although ridiculously expensive), the strolls along the canals, the ever so yummy food & wine, the carnival and of course the shopping. :) and also using the latest sketch from 52 Sketches 52 Weeks #49

as for the pictures, they're from the weekend in BKK; just adore that picture of me and ruben and couldn't resist using it again and again. They were taken at this cute cafe at the sunday market - serving the best (and strongest) cocktail drinks ever; a perfect way to start the night & hanging out with friends.

More yummy goodies from the december magpie club kit (magpie is a US based kit club and please note that although the december main kit that I used has already sold out, there's still the credit crush kit left --> here for more details) and you definitely don't want to miss out on this one!

here's a fun page I did using the kit for a non-christmas layout... "sweet kisses". I just adore this picture that a friend took while we were in BKK 2 weeks ago.

and for this layout, a big thank you Tara for letting me use one of your pictures! It definitely looks like you guys had a lot of fun playing around in the snow. As for me, I can't remember the last time I did this... oh maybe about 10+ years ago

supplies: Magpie Club December Kit (includes yummy goodies from collage press, american crafts, webster's pages, basic grey, jenni bowlin and more). Own: glimmer mist and american crafts jewel brads.

thanks for looking and don't forget to stop by magpie club for more details and also their blog...

Flowers anyone?

**sorry all the flowers are gone, but if you are still interested and don't mind waiting till January - then let me know. I will definitely be replenishing mine and wouldn't mind picking up a few for you**

As mentioned earlier and thanks for the emails (more than happy to share some)... if you are interested in some of the flowers that I picked up from bangkok about 2 weeks ago, I still have 3 more sets available. You will get a total of 57 flowers in the different sizes and colors as shown (the smallest is about 1.5 cm in diameter and the biggest is 5.5cm). The cost is 10SGD (7.20USD) for the set (not including shipping, will have more detail later today as trying to figure out the best options).

please drop an email by (my email address can be found on the right side -->)

ps. imagine glimmer misting these.

thanks guys and have fun!

December 2009...

It's already december ... wow... and only a few more days before christmas and then new years. We still haven't figured out what to do for christmas and new years. Intially, we were thinking about a short trip to Bali, but then heard that the prices of everything would be doubled; uhmmm maybe not. Then also, my sister will be flying back from the states... so maybe it's thailand again (more shopping and eating).

... anyway, on another note, here's my american craft layout for the month! it's december time and don't you just adore the merry mint collection. I just love everything!!!

Puppy love....

Just sharing some pictures from my weekend back in at home in Bangkok... one of the first thing that i did when i got home was to play with this adorable puppy... isn't she so so so so so cute and totallly fluffy!

Then there was the morning walks with... Johnny. Dear Johnny, regardless of how many dogs we have or where I maybe... you will always be my first and favorite.

And of course, how could I not stop by the Chaktujuk market... and look at some of the goodies I got... aren't these flowers just gorgeous (and only a fraction of the cost of the prima flowers)! and this is only a fraction of them, there's just too many to fit into this cage... I went totally crazy in buying them, as you can see... there's just tooo many to chose from.
