I'm surprised and excited beyond to be part of the American Crafts Design Team for 2011-2012 - speechless actually; I honestly didn't think that I would have a chance (and even already bought my dose of AC CHA-S goodies)...thank you stephanie & american crafts for this amazing opportunity again and am honored to be creating along side these amazing scrappers. starting the year with...

hi everyone, a big thanks for all the comments and especially for sharing your new year activities with me (please don't forget to enter you email address in the details section when you leave your comments, so I could also be able to reply back to you guys.)

and my first layout to share with everyone this year, is a little something I created for the MWL assignment - using mist and stickles. I opted to use my all time favorite picture and one of my top 10 favorite collection from 2010 for this one... isn't it the sweetness!



and some of the details are: using these super fun wooden frames from studio calico (really do wish I bought more of these) and trying out one of my new punch (I think its call the cheese punch from EK Success). I really love these frames and they really do help accent the pattern papers/pictures - also its a great way to introduct not really matching papers...



also here I used a postage stencil from tattered angles to create the negative image as I used my mister huey's (lunch tray and classic calico) to spray around it. I then added a touch of distress stickles around the image to highlight the details abit. and if you haven't already fallen heads over heels in love with these pattern papers from Pink Paislee... you honestly don't know the fun that you are missing out on...

Pink Paislee Design Team 2011

as if I couldn't scream it out any louder... YES!!!! I'm on the Pink Paislee Design Team for 2011!!! I still can't believe this amazing opportunity and still remember that day when I first received an email from Rebecca. I was like... uhmmm what?... who?.. .why would she be emailing me?... OMG... no, this can't be... can it?... oh my oh my oh my... OMG... ekkkkk!... YES YES YES!!... am I dreaming?... OMG... (lol)

and now that its offically announced, it's for real!!! (I really hope that I'm not dreaming thou). and a huge CONGRATS to all the other amazing ladies on the team (check out the full details here)



and thought I would share this layout that I created a long while back (but never made it onto blog **wink** till now), using one of their older collection, but a timeless one... Mistletoe & Co.

I was surprised beyond to get an acceptance email for the layout and shocked when there were two for the same issue!! (should have bought a lottery ticket that day...lol)

a little bit of love...

just wanted to share this layout that I managed to finish yesterday - I first started out with my studio calico September kit but as you can see, it slowly evolved into including a bunch of other yummy goodies (mostly from the new maya road collection). I have to admit - I'm a maya road addict. On almost every layout or project that I do, there's a some maya road goodies in one form or another... sometimes its their verstile chipboard... while most of time, its a few drop of their mist.



I used the new maya road chipboard collection that was included in the kit and also finally trying out the seafoam color mist... isn't just gorgeous!



also mixing in a bit more cosmo cricket pattern papers... don't you just love that shade of yellow there!!

one of those days...

its been a long long long day... one of the longest day I've had in awhile (its been alittle over 3months since I felt like this). and all I can do at the moment is remind my self that there's more in life than work... and can only wish, that I'll have the courage to just let go of it one day...

atleast from the day... I manage to complete this layout that I started a while back... a little something to remind me that work isn't everything, that it's only a passing stone in our lives (is that the right phrase?)... and also having fun with the cheerful colors in the Botanique Collection from who else other than one of my favorite brands... American Crafts...



and I just got these super fun stamps from Stamping Bella - their latest release. Don't you just love them, I think there's about 9 different designs/sayings in total (you'll definitely be seeing more of these as I just can't stop using them...lol). Don't forget to check them out here.

prince charming...

just realized that I haven't had a chance to share this layout here yet... but here's alittle something that I created for the collage press blog last week. the theme for this month is all things vintage (to create a layout/project using vintage collections from collage press)...



for mine I used a sheet from the Grayson Hall collection (the gorgeous light blue pattern paper) and mixed it with papers and die cuts from the Knave of Hearts collections. and also had to give the swirl flowers a go... after seeing everyone's inspirations. here's the video clip that I used for these flowers... here (have fun!).

funny how when I first started this layout... I never thought it would end up being a 2pager. I just had too too many pictures to include... and once again, lovin the gorgeous bright colors of this collection - heat wave - from american crafts!!! I really want to go back to that beach... it's been along along time since I've seen something that crystal blue and gorgeous.... @ "squeaky beach"



I know that clouds aren't suppose to be yellow - but I'm still addicted to that yellow maya mist and got out my embossing powder for this too...



and another gorgeous stamp from stampingbella for the note pad - I think this is my favorite one - added abit of burlap string for more texture... isn't it cute!!

Magpie Kit Club & Me

hi there...

first off... I just wanted to let you know that this will be long post, there's a lot of pictures to share, please allow a few minutes for all the pictures to load (what can i say, couldn't just provide one picture of each layout, right?). And if you haven't heard, I've just joined on at magpie kit club as one of their designers - thanks so much Tara for this wonderful opportunity! Do check out her website @ Magpie Club and the amazing kits that she has to offer, had so much fun working with all the yummy goodies for November...

First up... is this layout I did to capture the wonderful opportunity... me & magpie club

For the second one, yes i know I've used this picture of me & ruben before... but just love it so much. We hardly have any pictures together as most of the time one of us is taking the picture and as for the japan trip, there's a lot of pictures of Ruben as I was always the one holding the camera.

and more pictures from our Japan trip, this one was taken on the train from tokyo to nikko; just playing around... and did you see that photo reel, I have no idea where Tara found that, but it's just adorable vintage. Love it!!!
