Food Food Food!

Honestly that's all I can think of now a days. For some reason I'm always hungry, even right after a huge meal. It's absolutely crazy. I blame it on the breastfeeding and I truly hope that's the cause otherwise there goes my excuse for not losing those extra weight. LOL

Sharing a layout that I created earlier in the year for the latest CK Mix Media Vol 2 edition.  Here I had some fun altering wood veneer using an ink pad. Love how you can control the amount of ink to be applied and where (unlike misting - harder) and thus creating different shading effect on the embellishments. On another note, I think this is my last layout to be published with Creating Keepsake and what an amazing journey it has been working with all the wonderful ladies at CK (will save the details for another post).

I used an ink pad to apply the ink onto the bubble speech wood veneer embellishments which allowed me more control on the amount of ink. Therefore was able to create some dimensional effect /create variation. To be honest, I usually either mist these or leave them as is and therefore was fun to experiment with other mediums (another fun option would be to use watercolor).

And more close ups... using Crate Paper DIY collection, Studio Calico Wood Veneer and Hero Arts Stamps.

prince charming...

just realized that I haven't had a chance to share this layout here yet... but here's alittle something that I created for the collage press blog last week. the theme for this month is all things vintage (to create a layout/project using vintage collections from collage press)...

Photobucket

for mine I used a sheet from the Grayson Hall collection (the gorgeous light blue pattern paper) and mixed it with papers and die cuts from the Knave of Hearts collections. and also had to give the swirl flowers a go... after seeing everyone's inspirations. here's the video clip that I used for these flowers... here (have fun!).

supplies used include:
cardstock: american crafts, pattern paper, alphas and die cuts: collage press, flowers and leaves: primas, brads: american crafts, metal embellishment: tim holtz and punch: martha stewart

and if I could share... this is my second time being published and am truly speechless for being published in all 3 of CK magazines this month. thank you thank you thank you thank you to everyone!!

not much...

I haven't had much time to scrap in the last few days.... or atleast I think so. And am not sure where all my time has gone, but the next thing I know it's already 7pm and I haven't done much of anything at all (which also includes cleaning up the apartment and a million other non-scrapbooking related activities). Strange, I guess its the knowing that I have 3 months to do it and so... always putting things off till later....

but found this layout as I was re-arranging my files and realized that I haven't had a chance to share it yet...

(studio calico - friends)

The pictures where taken at my wedding reception - with two of my best friends. a big thank you guys for all your help that special day. I don't think I would have made it through the day without all of you.

Also in the hand stitching craze at the moment (although I have just bought a sewing machine - about 3 weeks ago - and it's still in the original box! I reallly have to at least take it out of the box... right?, but can't wait to try it out!). And also finally using up some of the studio calico kits that I have been hoarding for the longest time ever...

Thanks for stopping by... and a big thanks for all the wonderful comments (please do also update your email address or blog as would also love to stop by yours or be able to get in touch with you).

ps. have been busy preparing for some classes... finally decided on the the papers to be used (and hoping to be able to teach them sometime in march and april) **wink**

A little bit of love...

i still can't really adjust to the fact that i am now married and that when making decisions, there's someone else to also consider for. it's been 1 year and 3 months since that special day and it still feels like a dream... having someone wonderful to come home to everyday!

and here's a little something to capture this moment - this feel of being loved and of course just had to use these gorgeous papers from MME new collection!
