Off to Bangkok...

Heading off to Bangkok today for the long weekend... wow, it's been a while since I've been back and this time Ruben is also tagging along. I've already made a list of things to do, to eat, to buy... and of course arranged the night outs with girls. Can't wait!!!

But before leaving... here's another simple layout that I worked on earlier in the week. Just playing around with the pictures and can't get over the fact how time flies and how we have changed over time. I think i'm about 5 in that picture... getting ready in the morning for school at my grandmother's house.

supplies used: cardstock: american crafts; pattern paper: lily bee; flower: prima; envelope & chipboard frame: maya road; glimmer mist: tattered angels; brads: american crafts; alpha stickers: making memories; rub-on: lily bee

Have a good weekend everyone & Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend... I didn't do much, abit of shopping, abit of scrapping and alot of nothing. I started working on a lot of projects, but didn't manage to finish any of them. On some, i have all the papers and pictures pasted but just went blank when it came to journaling, and on others have all the pattern paper and embellishments done, but no pictures. Then there's also some without titles and the december calendar is almost done, have all the pieces and just waiting for the dates... yeap, a lot of nothing :)

Any-a-way... have you seen the new sketch over at 52 Sketches 52 Weeks... this has got to be one of my favorite sketch and I just feel in love with the new winter collection from pink paislee. ps. another picture from our trip to Japan, this is was taken in front of the temple where everyone had tied their wishes to the tree... and even more...

I was totally suprised when i went to the post office today to pick up the packages. I knew that I had two and figured that one was from Miriam at Collage Press but wasn't sure what the second package could be.... and once I got them... I was grinning like a little kid who just received her christmas presents all the way from the post office to even now (too excited to even go to sleep).

THANK YOU Collage Press & American Crafts!!!

I just adore everything!!! A huge huge hug for Miriam and her generousity. It's much more than I would have ever expected and Joyride is just amazing (have already started scrapping away as soon as the papers were out of the box). And American Crafts... oh i just love this new collection from Letterbox! Been loving this one since I saw it at my LSS and grab a few since then and hopefully I'll be able to share my super super lucky layout using this gorgeous collection!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

ps. don't forget to stop by the american craft blog today... my post is up!!! YAY!! and here's a little peak of one of the projects that did... (yes, I finally figured out how to put this together).

and with that, I better get to bed - have a 8:00am meeting tomorrow.

Having fun...

There was just so much to do this past weekend that I hardy had time to do anything else (other than sleep of course). Let's see, Saturday started with a shopping trip and ended with the famous Belgium Mussels Dinner. Both Ruben and I weren't sure what to expect when we had signed up for the dinner other than that they would be serving mussels. Little did I realize just how much mussels there would be... wow - unlimited mussels!!! and I still want some more!! SUPER YUMMY!

Then on Sunday - HAPPY B-DAY MWL!! Yeap, stopped by Made With Love to celebrate their 6th B-day!!! and also getting the chance to meet up with the other DTs (wow - all the ladies are just amazing and can't believe that I am actually working along side them) and presenting the MWL ladies...

Also this week for MWL assignment, we got to work with collage press latest collection - JOYRIDE! Don't you just adore the collection... and here's my layout using both the joyride collection & the circle die from sweet shoppe.

Dreamgirls Challenge # 39

oooooh feeling so gulity, I've been so behind in posting this! so if you haven't ready, do head over to the dreamgirl challenge blog --> here for tons of inspiration from all the amazing ladies. This time the challenge is all about "Signs of Me"... time to scrap about yourself!

and here are the details...

Usually we scrap our family, friends, pets, or even ourselves but today's challenge is a little but different and of course fun! This challenge is to scrap your every day life. Thinking outside the box, not just your family and friends but your real every day life.

Prompt: Multi Photo Layout-showing daily aspects of your life, signs of you from your home, for example...your shoes by the back door, your wine glass on the table, your favorite books on the shelf, or your favorite CD ready to play in the player.
Technique: Doodle or write on your photograph.
Product: Use a photograph that has a reflection of you in it, a mirror image.

and here's my take on the challenge:

Never too late... (for some AC)

one week down and three more to go before December and then when you realize it again... it's 2010! It seems as thou time flies by faster at the end of year, especially when you need to plan out the holidays; and we still can't decide where to go for christmas & new year (well first off, got to figure out if I am able to get 2 weeks off). uhmmmm.....

I know it's a bit late for october & halloween, but I just finished this layout over this weekend and had to share. so in love with the halloween collection from American Crafts. ohhhhh, i really wished that we celebrated halloween over here in Singapore... just adore these papers (don't you just love all the details) and breaking my head over on what else I can use these for... any suggestions???

Photobucket
Noticed the splater on the top right corner... well, it's not glimmer mist... but instead wine. Yeap, was finishing the layout late in the night and accidentally knocked the glass over. Boy was I really lucky that there wasn't much wine left, otherwise...
Photobucket
lovin' all the glitter!! especially the glitter sheets.....
Photobucket
and have I said just how much I love all the pattern papers in this collection? ... just so so so so cute!!
Photobucket
supplies used include:
cardstock: american crafts white (71081); pattern paper: american crafts halloween haunted (34774), venom (34780), bump in the night (34785), undead (34793) and horror (34795); brads: american crafts tropicals (85288) and brights (85288); vinyl embellishments: american crafts haunted house (77210); chipboard: american crafts hocus pocus accents (42992) and bewitched melon (42987) and rub ons: american crafts edgar alphas (43337) and culdron (43338).

Also, I know that I mentioned in my post earlier that I will be posting a give-away to celebrate my 100th post... will need to postpone this for another day as I haven't had a chance to take the pictures yet... but hopefully it will be worth while waiting for!

Thanks again for stopping by!

Why?....

Sometimes I wonder why we do what we do... what is it that keeps us going, that motivates us each day and when do we accept that enough is enough (in a good way that is)? For the past few months, I am very grateful for everyone and all your support. I'm just so happy that I found this hobby and all the wonderful people that I have met along the way and the amazing opportunities. This definitely keeps me going especially after a long day at work and not to mention all the "sad" things that happen in the office.

But all in all... I guess we can only do just so much... (piradee rambling away again and again).

Here's a layout I did for Ruben's niece a while back... the pictures were taken at our wedding ceremony at my house in Bangkok. She is just so so adorable & everyone just loved her (and so did the photographer)!

and on another note - thank you so much Lori & everyone! i am so honored and truly surprised. And most of all, thank you for your understanding.

ps. don't forget to stop by tomorrow, will be having a small give away!
