Cocoa Daisy June Kits Reveal

Hi Everyone,

It's that time of the month again, Cocoa Daisy Reveal!  This month's kits, Boho Garden, are filled with fun colors and designs. You're going to love them (I can't get enough and am still working on a few more projects).  At first glance, you  might think wow bold and bright colors but Christine has done an amazing job mixing and matching an array of colors. Possibilities are endless...

For this month, I got the Boho Garden, DITL, Daisy Chain and Rosehip.

On a soft tone... here's cute one I created of Sophia. We were just being lazy one morning, neither one of us really wanted to get out of bed (and also realizing, how much she has grown; where has my baby gone?).

For the next one, I got out my silhouette and had some fun. Love working with this design as it allows me to pretty much add anything to project (plus a great way to use up those little bits of papers).

I was so happy when I opened my box and found the bucket list stamp set. Ooooh perfect for our recent trip to Belgium!

and one PL spread.  I finally decided to switch to 12 x 12 after pondering about this for a few weeks now. Although I really really like the 8.5" x 11" size, I didn't quite like having to trim the 3" x 4" cards and also, there were quite a few awesome card designs that I could use. So... trying out the 12 x 12 size.

Cocoa Daisy May Kit Reveal

Hi there...

Just in case you're wondering where I've been. Well I've been all bundled up in Belgium (it's really really cold here) with little sweet Sophia (who just loves the cold unlike her mother).  We've been busy visiting family and friends (and squeezing in a little shopping, mostly for Sophia as she doesn't have any winter clothes and don't think shorts is going to work here at 11 celsius).

Now getting back to the more interesting portion of the post today... Cocoa Daisy May Kit Reveal!!!!  If you haven't already gotten these or haven't check them out, really recommend that you stop by the Cocoa Daisy website to get the full details. You're just going to love the mix of papers, embellishments and this month stamp is another must have (ps. did you see those super cute exclusive wood veneer?)

On this layout, I used this month sketch along with products primary from "whereabouts add-on kit"... (absolutely in love with those vellum die cuts)

And another layout using a mix of products from the main and add-on kits. I just love all the gold products that are included in all the kits (seriously can't get enough of gold at the moment) and these go perfectly with the exclusive pattern papers for this month...

Lastly on this layout, I had some fun with the "beautiful day floral stamp" set and the speech bubbles chipboards from the main kit.

Go.See.Do with Webster's Pages

Hello there.

I've been wanting to share this layout here for a while now, it's a little something that I made for my webster's pages assignment earlier this month using the fun "our travel" collection.  Loving all the cute designs in this collection and also the newly released vellum sheets. I created this page for the challenge that webster's pages is hosting this month (use vellum in your projects); there's still time if you want to play along. Full details here.

 photo WPGoSeeDo1-001_zps4f681ebc.jpg

I reused our past travel pictures to belgium (as I'm getting ready to make another trip there in the coming days and this time with little sophia); to check off what we've done and make a list of things to do.

 photo WPGoSeeDo2-001_zps87d29226.jpg

And as part of the challenge I used the vellum frame pattern paper to make a cute sequin pocket. Love the effect of the typed words on vellum and against all the sequins. In general, I love vellum! LOL

Hello You Mini Album & Giveaway!

Back to share a little mini album I made a few weeks back for my Maya Road and Chic Tag swap assignment. I had tons of fun creating this, mixing different textures together and also a little bit of paint here and there too... and oh yes, I'm so addicted to all things cork and gold (in case you haven't noticed).

I used the linen mini album from Maya Road (seriously, I'm ordering more of these) which gave me a lot of freedom to test and try different techniques. First off... I painted the sides with gold paint (bought a huge bottle of Martha Stewart gold paint) before adhering a mix of embellishments.... a little bit of cork (from my friend's shop Happie Scrappie), a felt flower, chipboard elements, wood embellishment, transparency and metal charm. That's a big mix (at least in my book, it is).

 photo MRHelloYou2_edited-1_zpsf95a3c26.jpg

Then on one of the pages inside, I put my Tim Holtz tag mask to some good use (using white paint), adding just enough paint to give the page a different feel but still highlighting the fabric behind it.

 photo MRHelloYou4_edited-2_zpsec1b2aa6.jpg

Then I added in a few more pages by sowing a few sheets of pattern paper and vellum pages onto one of the fabric page. Once again more transparencies and vellum (and yes gold). Just loving how you can layer the various transparencies on top of each other to create another look and giving a little peek-a-boo feel on the pages behind it.

 photo MRHelloYou9_edited-1_zpsef915451.jpg

On the vellum page, I kept it pretty simple but notice the little picture peeking from behind. :)

 photo MRHelloYou8_edited-1_zpsbecb6e3f.jpg

And another set of pages that I added onto the album...

And my little missy...

 photo MRHelloYou11_edited-1_zps38a93827.jpg

 photo MRHelloYou12_edited-1_zps0c55fc7b.jpg

And finishing the last page with a bit more paint, contrasting cork embellishment and a little quote... love you to the moon and back!

 photo MRHelloYou13_edited-1_zpsad61686a.jpg

If you haven't had a chance to work with these linen albums, would definitely recommend.  Honestly was inspired to get out my paint. LOL

And would like to share some of the goodies I used with one of you guys. I've got an a new pack of the journaling tags from Chic Tags, random mix of the newly released Maya Road products and a sample set of cork die cut/embellishments from a dear friend Happie Scrappie to giveaway. Just leave a comment on this blog post by April 18th.

Cocoa Daisy April Kits Reveal : Part 2

Back to share my PL spread using this month's Day in the Life (DITL) kits.

 photo CDAprilWK21_zps66e29161.jpg

And here's some close up of the various cards... loving that placemat card from the Dewdrop kit (by Jillibean Soup). These are so versatile, you can mist them, paint it or use it as is like here and as a peak a boo card.

 photo CDAprilWK23_zpse148a02f.jpg

And in love with the October Afternoon alphabet stickers that were in the Dewdrop kit, couldn't stop using them everywhere. There's just something about the size and that font!

 photo CDAprilWK22_zpsdff6a070.jpg

And the second part of the spread, this side is dedicated to ME! Yes, the on going hot mess on my scrapbooking table, finally being about to take alcohol again (in small/tiny amounts as was still breastfeeding) and our dedicated date night. Yes mummy and daddy need some along time too... but we're back in a flash.

 photo CDAprilWK24_zps7270c2f6.jpg

Having fun with this adorable fox journaling card in the DITL kit, too cute right. Decorated it with one of the vellum tag/cut out and loving those gold alphabet stickers too!

Cocoa Daisy April Kits Reveal : Part 1

Hi Guys,

I'm so excited to be part of the Cocoa Daisy family and even more excited to share my first set of projects as part of their design team. First up are some layouts that I created using this month's main kit Hint of Sunshine, along with the Day In The Life kit, Dewdrop and Sunkissed add-ons.

First off is this fun layout of Sophia. She's currently going through the phase off "are those my toes"?

 photo CDHelloSunshine1_zps5d14d5c3.jpg

The majority of the products used on this layout are from the main kit with the exceptions of the sequins that are from the Dewdrop add-on kit. Seriously, I now need those sequins in every color (love how there's a mix of different shades in the bottle). Also using this month's printable that you can find here.

 photo CDHelloSunshine2_zps9ce59cc8.jpg

And loving the gold foil paper in the Sunkissed add-on kit. Here I used use the hello die from Simon Says Stamp and ran it through my big shot.

 photo CDHelloSunshine3_zps4d99d920.jpg

And for my second layout, I used this month sketch along with goodies from the main, dewdrop and DITL kits. When I saw that card from the DITL kit, knew it was perfect for this layout that I've been wanting to make. Sophia with her million and one faces. Truly what the what Sophia!

 photo CDAprilWhattheWhat1_zpsa4dd2621.jpg

and oh, did you see the stamp set from this month DITL... swoon!

 photo CDAprilWhattheWhat2_zpse2455f1a.jpg

Lastly, this page came together by accident. I wasn't planning to use that pattern paper at all, actually had cut it for another layout but once I saw the design - love it! And that stamp pretty much says it all. After over a year of no coffee, hate to admit but an addict again (blaming it on the fact that I've starting working again). LOL

 photo CDAprilSmile1-001_zps55b746c8.jpg

 photo CDAprilSmile2_zps7228d427.jpg

And having lots of fun with the vellum tags that are in the DITL kit, love that semi-transparency feel (crazy for anything gold and vellum at the moment)

 photo CDAprilSmile3_zps85f58376.jpg

Don't forget to stop Cocoa Daisy for more details and also do come back tomorrow for some PL inspirations using April's Day In The Life kit.  Thanks for stopping by everyone.
