Hello 2010 & Giveaway

Wow time really flies by, still adapting to the fact that it's 2010 (which also means that I will be a year older soon). I woke up today - planning to complete a few scrapping assignments, but haven't really gotten any where. Instead I spent the entire morning (and afternoon) so far cleaning and organizing my scrapping area - which is still a mess and tons of goodies all over the floor. I still can't believe how much I have accumulated over the years - and I do mean accumlated, a lot of the goodies are still in their original packaging and un-opened/un-used. So do stay tuned as I will most likely be posting more goodies up for sale on my blog or maybe creating another blog for these.

speaking of which, is anyone in need of some scrapping inspirations? I have 12 past issues of the scrapbook inspiration magazines up for grabs - all for $48 SGD (each of the magazine retails for $11.70 SGD)- please drop an email by if you are interestedj. Editions included are from: oct 07, jun 08, sep 08, oct 08, nov 08, dec 08, jan 09, feb 09, mar 09, apr 09, may 09 and spring 09.

  4. Hi Piradee,

Have loved catching up on your blog the past couple of days! Congrats on your win at GCD - how exciting for you!! I'm thinking of making my hubby a frame with one of our photos for valentine's day. I might leave the frame as is, or I may incorporate it onto a layout - still deciding on that bit yet ;)

  10. Valentine's Day this year is on Sunday, which is great --- it's not a working day so Hubby and I can be together the whole day! Yes!!! We rarely have dates now that we have 2 kids. We usually have a "Family Date" which is what the kids call our outings. It's not very romantic with 4 of us, but it makes us very happy to spend time with the kids.

I hope you have a great Valentine's Day!

  12. Home cooked meal! Lamb chop, mash and peas, his favourite. Followed by wine and lots of dvds. He was away on business trip last Valentine's, hopefully this one will be a little more meaningful.

  14. These days valentine's day is spent busy with my kids “projects” for school. For a start is writing valentines for teacher and classmates. At Christmas my 4 years old complained after only writing 3 Christmas cards. So we ended up only with 3 cards for teachers for only. So I have to start early for valentine's day cards. Will have her write 3 cards a day (that will take about 9 days to complete 27 cards for classmates and teachers, lol). And then my kids also want to make sometime for teachers as appreciation which I think is nice of them to have that thought. No need to wait till teacher’s day. So I bought a few of these cut little tin mailboxes and I will have my kids “dress” it up with paper, stickers and ribbon (whatever I can find appropriate in my scrap stash). Finish it off with the valentine card and some chocolate goodies inside. I think that is so sweet. You can make that for anyone and I think they will love it.

  15. Well, with two little ones underfoot is it going to be tough to get out... so I think maybe a coupon book this year. Both naughty and nice options ;) Thanks for the chance!

  17. I need to think of something simple and sweet for the kiddos... My DD has 26 in her class and the baby has 10 (plus their teachers). Then there are my coworkers whom I still owe Cmas thank you cards too. I feel like Vday I may have a chance to redeem myself. I'm thinking cookies... cookies will be a great way to earn some points! Lol! I struggle so much with what to do for my Hubby b/c he was born w/out a romantic bone in his body! It's usually a gift and a simple card, along with a date night. :) What about you???? What are you going to do?

  18. I miss my kids being little --I loved doing Valentine's goody bags to hand out to their classmates--I loved Oriental Trading for this and my 99cent store! I will be making home made heart cookies and home made cards for my Mom, sisters, and DH. The only time I ever have the patience to use cookie cutters and a rolling pin is for Valentines Day. (After the big let down of Christmas being over---I'm eager when Valentin's rolls around!)

Happy New Year and thanks for the chance to win!!!

  22. I actually had not thought about Vday till reading this blog...which I just found today and love. I think I am going to make his favorite dinner, stuff peppers. With 3 kids between the two of us, all this hobbies and working on the house, something without alot of expectation will be nice. I think i'll stick to the dinner, and maybe a nice card.

  23. We have been married for slightly over a year and with no kids yet, we have all the world to ourselves to celebrate Valentines Day and Chinese New Year! I am still in the midst of scrapping our wedding pics (way overdue!). I hope to continue to scrap our book of love, documenting our happy moments and life together.
