and would like to say that that picture pretty much summarizes it all... (sorry can't go into the details of why at the moment, but there was once upon a time when I actually looked forward to mondays.)
and now, back to scrapbooking... here I used one of pattern papers from the Mix & Mend Collection from Sassfras, as the layout base (and pretty much that was all I needed; the details on this pattern paper is just amazing).

to add a few touches to the layout, I used Studio Calico - Classic Calico Mist to create the effect on the top, by misting over a circle cut-out and within a specific area only; which I emphasised with the boarder scallop punch and the turquoise strip of pattern paper.

and then adding bits here and there... couldn't resist, even with all the details already, but did try to keep things to a minimal as to not overwelm the layout. lol! also put my Making Memories Slice Machine to good use again and using vellum paper for the butterfly die-cut; to give an airy feel.

supplies used include: cardstock: american crafts; pattern paper: sassafras and we r making memories (turquoise); sticker embellishments: studio calico and ki memories (white twirl); metal leaf pin: maya road; metal flower: making memories; die cut machine: making memories slice; mist: studio calico (classic calico color); stamp: studio calico, punch: ek success
thanks again and again for stopping by guys and all the sweet comments!! really appreciate your support & nite nite!
