and more Pink Paislee inspirations...

as you can probably guess, I've been having tons of fun with the new pink paislee collections and totally went crazy here with the new artisan collection. sharing my assignment for pink paislee this month (more detail on the pink paislee blog here) and I just loving the new mistable pattern papers.  Also how can I not mention the awesome color shine mists (from heidi swapp); seriously these mists are jammed packed with shine (the most of all the brands out there) and are gorgeous and vibrant in color.

Photobucket

and here's close up of one of the leaves cut from the new artisan mistable/resistable pattern papers and misted with georgia peach and mustard color shine. To get the two tone effect, I first misted the pattern paper with the georgia peach color shine and then quickly soaked up some of the mist with baby wipes. this created a watercolor like effect and then I added a few sprays of the mustard color shine...

Photobucket

like I said, these mists are packed with shine... just look at all that glitter. the best part is that you only need one spray for a gorgeous color coat. also the new artisan chipboard elements are super fun to use. loving the fun designs on these and especially how well they take the mist...

sharing some Pink Paislee Portfolio...

hi everyone, hope you guys had a great weekend... I know that I did as I got a chance to catch up on some long over due scrapping. Over the past few weeks I've had the chance to get my hands on some of the latest collections and have been eagerly waiting for some down time from work. I think in total I complete around 6 layouts (that's a new record for me, given that I also did some major scrapbook shopping, visited my favorite japanese restaurant, caught up with some old friends and still made it to the airport with an hour to spare).

unfortunately I can't share any of the layouts that I recently created, promised some sneaks soon, but wanted to share this layout that I had completed earlier using the new Pink Paislee Portfolio collection. Don't you just love the color combination in this collection. Also have you seen the new Artisan collection - especially the fun elements and stamps... fun!!!

Photobucket

and here's some close ups of the various embellishments / die cuts that you'll be able to find as part of the portfolio collection....

Photobucket

also the new designs of the artisan element collections are definitely a must have... there's a lot of really fun and cute designs included (what do you think of that cute arrow)...

Photobucket

and I'll be honest, one of my favorite items from this release are the artisan element words.... these are perfect for titles and also looks great when you trace over the middle part with a marker (I used a black sharpie pen here)...

Photobucket

Thanks again everyone for stopping by & happy scrapping!

Pink Paislee - 4 Years & Counting

Just wanted to share that my project for Pink Paislee is up on their blog today HERE and as you can tell, went crazy using the silhouette machine {can't seem to get enough of it and especially with the awesome new designs that are introduced weekly, how could I right?}.

Using the gorgeous Prairie Hill Collection - loving the mix of colors in this collection - from the yellow, turquoise to the touches of red. Love Love Love! And also using up all those left over alphabets/numbers to create the cover page of the mini.

Photobucket

Need I say more...

Photobucket

And the story behind this mini was to create a little something to celebrate our 4th year anniversary this month. I can't believe that we've been married that long LOL - it really seems like yesterday!

sharing some PP Prairie Hill love

have you guys been following the pink paislee blog this week?  it's all about one of the latest trend that's popping up everywhere at the moment OMBRE. at first, it took me a while to figure out just how I would incorporate the trend into my project/assignment - how do I go about creating the shade of colors....

Photobucket

honestly at first I started out by cutting pieces from various pattern papers that had similar shades and tried to lined them all up... but it didn't quite work out liked I had hoped.  then I moved onto the fun new color magic pattern papers from Heidi Swapp and along with a bottle of distress stain... vola!

Photobucket

also got out the new Prairie Hill collection from pink paislee for this project - I absolutely love love love the colors in collection. seriously I think it's one of my favorite!

Photobucket

and how could I not mention the super cute embellishments in this collection... clouds, sun, cameras... need I say more?

Photobucket

thanks for stopping by everyone and hope you guys have a great weekend!!!

Exciting News!!!!

This is already an unbelievable year and I keep pinching myself from time to time, to make sure that it's all real.

Photobucket

First, I'm so honored to part of the Pink Paislee Design Team again this year - thank you so much Rebecca for this amazing opportunity and Danielle for the sweet introductions.  I absolutely love working with Pink Paislee and can't wait to start cutting into the new collections (you guys are going to LOVE them). Don't forget to stop by Pink Paislee blog to see the full details and some fun Q&A.

Photobucket

And what caught me by surprise (and seriously this is beyond a dream come true), was an email from sweet Christine with an invitation to be part of the Winter/Spring 2012 Crate Paper Design Team.  I'm not quite sure where to start or how to describe how I felt (and still feel), but as you know I love Crate Paper and took me only a second to reply with YES!  THANK YOU Lisa, Christine and everyone at Crate Paper!!!

And most all, thank you to guys for your constant support in my scrapping journey.

Looking Back at 2011 & Giveaway

I've been wanted to doing this the past few days, but I didn't have the chance to for some quiet time to reflect back on the year; until now. 2011 has been amazing year and am truly thankful for all the friends, support and opportunities... (and sharing some of my favorite layouts from the year)

Looking back, one of the biggest highlight for me was being invited to be part of the Creating Keepsake Dream Team for 2011 (and also 2012). There's just no words to describe how I felt then or even now, and am truly thanking my lucky stars for this amazing opportunity. On top of that, I was able to attend my first ever CHA show (CHA W 2011) and boy was it something. Seeing everything all in one place was unbelievable and what made it even more special was actually meeting everyone in person.

(using a mix of American Crafts and Studio Calico)

And another highlight for me was being asked to Guest Design for My Minds Eye in January 2011. Needless to say, it took me only 1 sec to reply back with a big YES!!

Another team that I had (and have) the privileged to be part of is Pink Paislee. I was speechless when I received an email from Rebecca and had to even ask hubby to read it just to be sure that I wasn't dreaming.

Photobucket

And thanking my lucky stars again that I was given the opportunity to be part of the Lily Bee family for a second year. I just can't get enough of the amazing collections and adore their new stationary line collections...

Photobucket

And if there's one thing that I didn't count on, it was the opportunity to be part of the American Crafts Design Team again. I remember going back and forth on whether I should apply and finally decided to hit send the very last minute. This truly came as a surprise and thank you American Crafts for making my dreams come true!

And I think my all time favorite trend of the year is banners! I just can't stop using them everywhere, bits and pieces here and there or all out like on this layout...

Photobucket
(using Crate Paper Portrait Collection)

and as you can probably tell, I was super addicted to banners (and still am)

Photobucket

And another highlight of the year for me was having the opportunity to guest blog and host a challenge over at Creating Keepsake! And using one of my favorite picture from the summer - it was great to see hubby's family and friends again.

(using Basic Grey Picadilly Collection)

I've also had the amazing opportunity to guest for some challenge blogs and kit clubs this year - thank you - Pink Ninjas, Creative Scrappers, Once Upon A Sketch, Challenge Me Happy, Colorful Creations, My Creative Scrappers and Shimelle's Classes.

Photobucket

And another favorite trend that I picked up on are these "freestyle" mini albums; love the variations and the mix of goodies that can be included...

Photobucket

All in all 2011 has been nothing short of an unbelievable year, but the one thing that always kept me going was the amazing support from everyone. Thank you for all the wonderful comments, words of encouragement and you support here and for letting me share my journey, memories and creativity...

Celebrating the New Year 2012!

The past few days have been a whirl wind as mummy had decided to join us in Singapore for New Years (at the very last minute - a day before!). Putting aside the gazillion phone calls to find a hotel and the perfect restaurant... we had a blast. Exploring parts of Singapore I didn't know existed, watching the amazing firework celebration, losing $X dollars in record time at the blackjack table and literally having walked the entire Singapore city! (OK the last statement might be a stretch, but we did walk heck of a lot!)

And to add to the excitement in the past couple of days, I'm honored beyond to be part of the Pink Paislee Design Team again for 2012. Thank you Rebecca for this amazing opportunity!!! And a big congrats to all the amazing ladies below; it's definitely going to be a super fun year...

Photobucket

Thanks everyone and wishing everyone a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!! May all your dreams and wishes come true :)

Hello December

Hi Everyone,

Back to share some projects that I've done recently for my Pink Paislee and Lily Bee assignments. First, is this mini album that I've created using the latest winter collection from Pink Paislee - Snowday. Not only do I adore the sweet colors and design of this collection but once again, love love love the embellishments that are part of the collection. The dimensional stickers are a must have (isn't the snow couple below just too too cute) and of course, my all time favorite product (and the first item that I always reach out for) is the ephemera pack. Just love everything and there's just sooo much to choose from too.

Photobucket

For this mini album - I wanted to try something different and therefore used mini envelopes as my pages. Also in addition to working on the outside, I got to included tags, pictures and more journaling details of that super cold snowy day in Chicago - in the envelopes themselves.

Photobucket

And a few more pages using a mix of the new bitty block alphabets, sweetness yellow glitter alphabets and die cuts from the ephemera pack.

Photobucket

Photobucket

And yes, me and sis are having one crazy time...

Photobucket

Photobucket

And lastly, don't forget to stop by the Pink Paislee blog - as we have tons in store for you in the coming days as the count down starts to Christmas!

Photobucket

And sharing another project that I created using the Harvest Market Collection from Lily Bee and with my trust worthy silhouette machine (which I'll definitely be using more off, as I went totally crazy and bought tons of designs during the black friday sales..lol).

Photobucket

For this project, I started by cutting out various sizes and colors of the leaves and also the word "home" - using the silhouette machine. Then layered all the elements together (using tons of foam dots).

Photobucket

And then, completed my cluster by adding the cut acorn chipboard piece from maya road and a bit of twine and pearls...

Photobucket

Photobucket

And likewise, don't forget to stop by the Lily Bee blog from now till the 24th for your daily dose of inspirations!!!

Photobucket

A big thanks for stopping by everyone and hope you guys have a wonderful weekend!
