squeezing in one last post for June... a little bit of American Craft love and Magpie Club July kit sneaks!!
first up is this layout I did using the "I Do" collection from American Crafts - I know, it might be a bit strange and the journaling isn't really readable (did that on purpose). But was really inspired when I first saw these monkeys... how the small little one clings on to his/her mother and how protective she is... a mother's love... maybe its time to discover....
and still in the banner craze...
and a close up of the adorable two...
.... and just in case some of you were wondering what's included in Magpie Club July Kit... well here's a little something to tempt you until the full reveal tomorrow. You'll just love all the super yummy goodies that Tara has included in the kit!!
thanks for stopping by and don't to stop by again tomorrow for all the details =)
ps. and just in case so of you are curious about the flowers and other goodies I brought back from Bangkok... please check back on the weekend as I haven't had the time to through everything just yet. But there's lots of flowers, leafs and more ribbons. =)

Collage Press June Sketch Challenge
thanks everyone for the comments and emails... and am feeling much better today, starting to get my smell and taste buds back... slowly recovering.
thought I would share that my layout for the collage press june sketch challenge is up on the collage press blog. don't forget, there's still sometime left if you haven't submitted your layout yet - would love to see what you guys are doing with the yummy collage press goodies and also you'll just love the Sweet Shoppe Collection that will be the prize. More details on the challenge can be found here.
and couldn't resist using the sweet shoppe collection for my layout... just love the colors in this collection, perfect for just about any theme.
someone was asking me the other day, what types of pictures I usually scrap about.... and as I wondered on what to reply. I realized that when I first started out, it was always the pictures from all my trips, places that I've seen. But now... it's become more focus on things that I would like to remember, the moments, the thoughts and still the places that I've seen. =)
played around with some of the japanese washi tapes that I brought back from my japan trip last year - this time around tried covering the chipboard house and also playing abit with the latest stamp from studio calico (circle stamp).
hope I've inspired you to get out your old stash of collage press for this challenge (hint: you'll definitely need to make some room soon).
thanks for stopping by always =)

back and with some lily bee to share...
hi everyone - sorry for the disappearing act, but last week has been a super busy one which continued well into the weekend and now, I'm stuck at home with a nasty cold. Can't smell or taste anything and feeling really numb all over...
but before disappearing again... for a nap (really drugged up at the moment...and really shouldn't be typing too...lol)... here's a layout that I made awhile ago with some of the yummy "hello sunshine" collection from Lily Bee and speaking of which, have you seen the latest post on the Lily Bee Blog... there's a super yummy kit from Paper Poppy Kit Club for one lucky person. Don't forget to stop by the blog there and leave a comment before July 2nd for a chance to win those goodies!
and here's my layout... using another picture from our trip to Bali (one of those classic ones I think)...
just another simple layout... playing with mist and the new edge punches from EK success.
also adding a few touches with the butterfly stamp and the text stamping on the button chipboard.
supplies:
cardstock/chipboard letters: american crafts, pattern paper: lily bee hello sunshine collection, chipboard/envelop/mist: maya road, punch: EK success, alpha stickers: basic grey, stamp: purple onion (butterfly) and text (tuesday technique).

our bali trip...
Finally had a chance to do a little scrapping about the bali trip and as I was looking through all the pictures, it's definitely a place I would love to visit again... the food, the people, the culture and of course the spa sessions.
Also did this for this month Made With Love assignment, where the focus is all about recycling. For this I choosed to work with the prima packaging from all the gorgeous flowers that I have been using and hoarding. I'm sure many of you have noticed the gorgeous packaging materials that manufacturers are coming out with now a days - where some of them are as nice as the pattern papers themselves.
I added abit of shimmerz blingz on the flowers and other cut outs and aren't those bees the cutest, really glad that I got that stamp set.
The mini album is almost done, all the pictures have been added, the sub-title/captions are done.... but what's left is the journaling bits. I still trying to find where I can buy some transparencies that can be printed on with ink jets (no luck so far)... anyone know in singapore?
And on the back side, I used the journaling tags from the pink paislee queen bee collection to cover up the barcodes and some printed details, but left the rest as is. Really love the color and the distress look of these packagings.
supplies used include:
cardstock: american crafts; pattern paper: pink paislee (queen bee collection); cork embellishment, ribbon, stamp: pink paislee; mist: maya road (charcoal); glimmer: shimmerz blingz (pixie dust); alpha: american crafts (large), basic grey (small)
thanks for stopping by and don't forget to hold on to your prima packaging...

alittle bit of this and that...
I'm just loving bright colors lately and i think this one says it all... I would never have thought to use orange a year ago (boy have I come along way since then), but just love how this layout turned out!
The various pattern papers are from the Studio Calico April kit and the gorgeous fabric flower is from this adorable online store here in singapore "Needle & Thread" selling these gorgeous fabric designs. The owner, Magdalene, send me a few sample pieces to play with and I'm just having so much fun mixed the traditional scrapbook supplies with fabric.
Also having fun with one of Stamping Bella's latest stamp releases "thoughts"; I just love these memo stamps and I think there's a total of 9 different phrases to play with and trying out the new ink pads from American Crafts (I definitely need to get all of them now - just love the idea that the ink pads are on the top, unlike other pads that are on the bottom).
And here's a close up of the flower that I cut from the gorgeous fabric from Needle & Thread and frayed the sides abit... (oops maybe I should have ironed it abit first)
And another addiction of mine lately... these gorgeous doilies from my favorite etsy store Sweet Vintage; I just love all her goodies and boy do they disappear super fast tooo (I think most of her stuff were sold out in matter of hours after being listed).
Also a big thanks to everyone for all your coments, they truely made my day and also all the recommendations! You guys are the BEST!!!

Color Combos Galore #146
I'm a bit late in posting this... but the new colors are up on the color combos galore website and you'll just love this one... and boy was it a challenge for me. If there's one color that I don't scrap with, it would definitely be purple and therefore was the driver in doing this week color combo... really wanted to see what I could come up that included purple.
Also was a bit late in posting this because I made a few changes here and there (and still not too happy about it). For some reason when I saw the layout being posted on the CCG website, I just didn't like how it looks and how unbalanced it felt... so went with a bolder font for the title and switched around the journaling.... what do you guys think?
the before....
and the after.... I know, the title still doesn't feel right (and is abit off balance, I really can't work with anything else other than straight lines).
and just loving these blooms from prima, been hoarding them for awhile now...
supplies used include:
cardstock: american crafts; pattern paper, flowers, crystals, flower centers: prima, alphas, leaf pins: maya road; ink: tim holtz
inspired by: prima june BAP sketch
even after the changes, still don't really like the overall look of the layout. not sure what's been happening lately but spent the day today fixing layouts (this is my third one in which I re-did something)... but at the moment, just clueless in what to do with it... oh well, but I really hope i get my mojo back really soon as there's a few assignments due next week. :(
thanks for stopping by.

Magpie Club June Sketch
you'll just love the sketch that Julie has done for Magpie Club this month... banners, banners and more banners!
and here's my take using Magpie Club June Kit (which unforunately is now sold out - if you are interested, would recommend to subscripe as these kits are disappearing like hot cakes).
using some of the pictures taken from my japan trip late last year... taken in the small and gorgeous town of nikko.
this time around, I tired the double banner look - hoping to give a bit more variation and fun.
and just love the milk bottle cap that Tara has included in the kit, I really don't know where she finds all these amazing goodies...
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget, you guys have until the end of the month to submit your take on the sketch over at Magpie Club (you can use any scraping supplies that you like, not restricted to the kits).

my YSS GDT layouts...
I thought I would share here some of the layouts that I did for last month GDT spot at yourscrapbookstash... using some of my all time favorite 7 Gypsies goodies...
The pictures are from an older trip to indonesia and had these printed for a while now, but never really getting a chance to scrap them. This time around, I wanted to have a clean look on the pages but still have that vintage feel and therefore did a bit of distressing around the papers and also on these circle die cuts too...
And here's another one, but this time around its a 8.5x11 page (if you haven't try making one of these, you really should give it a go - might be challenging at first as there's less space to work with, but for me, I'm really liking this size page more and more).
Also have you seen the post on the american crafts blog? Interested in some adhesives? Check out the details here....
Also don't forget to stop over here tooo... for some more "yummy" inspirations!
Thanks for stopping by and hoping that everyone is having a super great week. I know I am although there's alot of long hours this week at the office, but there was something that happended earlier this week that pretty much made my week (and months for me).
