missing those weekend trips...

hi there...

was just doing some re-arranging of files and came across this layout that I created for publication in Creating Keepsake earlier this year and couldn't help sharing it here also. it's been so long since hubby and I hoped on a plane for a weekend trip (wonder if I might be due to the fact that I was pregnant and also had a few business trips this past year). either way, I'm so looking forward to more weekends trips (well might have to extend for a few days now since we'll have little Sophia joining us).

created this page about my two favorite things ... travel and food. I always love trying new things (although can't say that I love everything that I try, but at least I try right?) and part of the assignment was to include some memorabilia from the trip and what better than the tickets stubs or luggage tags... it has all the details you need to remember when, what, where and how. as for why, well isn't it obvious... food!

this also happens to be one of my favorite layout from this year... I was really surprised at how everything all came together... the contrast between black and white (background) and the variation of shapes (speech bubbles and circles). this is definitely a layout design that I'll be doing over and over again...

thanks for stopping by everyone and hope you guys had a fun weekend (I know I did, but not sure if that would be the same feeling once the credit card bill comes... may have shopped a little bit too much this black friday and to think, I'm not even in the states. can't imagine how bad it would be if I was.  hhehheeee what else is a girl suppose to do... shop and scrap, right?)

have you seen the new Stationery Collection from Lily Bee Design? I'm so in love with the simple patterns and colors in this collection and here's a fun layout that I recently created for the Lily Bee blog post today. how love looks...

things have been kinda quite and slow here, finishing up some assignments but other than that, haven't done much scrapping the past few days. i think i had a scrapping over load last week and therefore this week.... well, let's say - i've been staring at a blank cardstock for a while now and I really really really need to get that assignment done asap. lol

in the mean time, was re-organizing my folders and realized that I haven't shared this layout here. i remember creating this a while back and also scraplift another layout that I had created earlier....

Photobucket using some gorgeous prima goodies and also experimenting with misting and stamping. on some of the cards, i create the patterns by misting various colors and also using a screen templates and then stamping over some of the details... Photobucket

and here are some more close-up pictures of all the details on the layout...

Photobucket Photobucket a big thanks for stopping by and hopefully i'll get my mojo back soon...lol take care everyone!!! Photobucket

at times...

Hi guys - here's a fun and simple layout that I put together and you can probably guess that I made this right after finishing the lily bee one... lol (I think this took me less than an hour to create - and its all due to the gorgeous papers that makes it to easy to scrap with). Yeap, one of my resolution this year is to scrap everything that I buy - so just got these paper last week and vola. Done! (and now the harder part - lets see how long I can keep this up).

Photobucket

Once again, using a picture of my lil sister for this (she's super sweet and is using my layouts to decorate her apartment in chicago - can't believe that she would prefer these over art work...lol thanks sis).

Photobucket

I just adore the bright colors and fun patterns in this collection - Salt Air - aren't those flowers just gorgeous (and love how they've layers the colors too). Also created this for the challenge happening over at Cosmo Cricket - creating your own flowers...

Photobucket

and here's another close up of the layering details...

Photobucket

This is the one thing that I so love about cosmo cricket papers - they are just so easy to work with and the patterns are just so inspiring. Remember this layout I created when I first started scrapping (I think I made this when I was a few months into scrapbooking then, and also for the Moxie Fab challenge - which by chance I happened to win too).

Photobucket

(please excuse the quality of the picture - was starting out back then and was still experimenting...lol. I really need to take another picture of this LO). And it's still one of my all time favorites!

Thanks again everyone for stopping by and also walking down memory lane with me.
