isn't he just too cute?

I took this picture a while back of a friend's dog when she came over to visit. I remembered when I first saw her dog, I couldn't help stop giggling... it just stay there all cozy and covered up in that bag. And if you tried to pat him... he would just disappear into the bag...lol (talk about a dog and his bag).

Photobucket

I create this layout for My Mind's Eye March Newletter based on a sketch provided and using the latest Lush 2 collections - Fuchsia and Navy. I have to be honest, I'm not a big a fan of purple, but really loved working with this collection (and looks as thou you'll be seeing more purple now...lol).

Photobucket

More Pink Ninjas Layouts...

I'm back with a few more layouts that I created with the fun Redemption Kit from Pink Ninjas and once again, yes - still using a picture of my little sis...

Here I created the center of the flower using the "O" letter from the american craft alpha set that was included in the kit. And also as part of created the background effect, I used the dots from the alpha set (as I never really use them to dot my "i") to created the dotted pattern.

Also did abit of watermark stamp there (used the star burst stamp from studio calico), to create a soft touch to the layout. And the bottom part of the cardstock was misted with calico warm to darken the share of the cardstock.

and this one is me!!! enjoying the day in Hanoi (away from all the crazy motorbikes)!

and don't you love these felt flowers from Jillibean Soup? gorgeous!!!
Thanks for stopping by again everyone and don't forget to head on over to the Pink Ninjas blog for more inspirations from their designers.

enjoying the days... (new pink paislee)

Just wanted to share a little project I created for the Pink Paislee post today... using the new Butterfly Garden Collection and also mixing in some of the Parisian Anthology goodies. (please do stop by the pink paislee blog for more details and close ups of some of the pieces).

Photobucket

And here are a few close up pictures... alot of distress inking and a bit of misting here and there. For the misted pieces, I first misted the brown with maya road mist and then went over everything with the calico white mist from studio calico (like I mentioned - totally addicted to the white mist at the moment. I so so need another bottle).

guesting for pink ninjas

i've been waiting for a while now to scream this out loud... Thank You Pink Ninjas... for the amazing opportunity to guest design for you guys this month with the yummy March kit goodies.

and here's the first of many layouts that I created with this month kit - Redemption Song - and using a few pictures of my little sister. it was really great to spend sometime with her in chicago last month, catching up on things and of course just having some crazy fun!

and don't you just love the embellishments that are included? i really do wonder where they got these gorgeous goodies and loving those felt flowers and leaves from jillibean soup.

and testing out a new border punch that I recently got (brand - ek success) and it goes perfectly with the lace ribbon that's included in the kit.

thanks for stopping by everyone and don't forget to stop by the pink ninja blog for more details!!!

that little fluffy one...

i'm back to share another layout I created with supplies from some older lily bee collections (I really need to make room for all the new goodies - which reminds me, I'm going to be having a major yardsale soon and if you're interested {and in singapore}, please do drop me an email by for more details).

for this layout, I used the Christmas Town collection to create a non-christmas theme layout (who ever said you need to use christmas papers for christmas layouts only ..right?)

I selected the reds and black pattern papers and added a bit of yellow here and there to bring out the colors of that little fluff ball - who by the way, can't seem to stop barking at me everytime he sees me (and therefore his new name - barkie).

supplies used included:
cardstock: american crafts; pattern paper: lily bee design (christmas town); alphas: american crafts; button: jenni bowlin; chipboard: lily bee design (christmas town); stickers: lily bee design (christmas town); heart pin: maya road; ribbon: american crafts; mist: maya road (cream metallic); rub-ons: lily bee design (hello sunshine); punch: ek sucess

and thanks again everyone for stopping by and all the sweet comments (don't forget to leave your email or blog link - as I would love to visit you too). and if you haven't already, don't forget to stop by the Lily Bee Blog for more inspirations from the other amazing ladies using the christmas town collection.

nite nite everyone!

hi there everyone, hope you guys are having a wonderful weekend. one of the thing that I loved most about attending the CHA - was being able to see all the new collections in person (and yes there was a bit of drooling here and there and at times Kim Watson had to pull me away).

and the lily bee booth was no exception! I just loved the way and style that Kristen had decorated the booth and all the projects were just amazing!!! and of course, how could I leave without grabbing a few sheets of the new lily bee design collections!! and for this layout of one of my buddies from high school, I used the gorgeous Happily Lost Collection. aren't the colors just dreamy!!!

Photobucket

and yes once again, using that white mist from studio calico... totally in love... and also used the flower text chipboard from the Lovely collection...

in love with mist!

oh my - can't believe I just discovered this (while the whole wide world has been using it), but I'm in love with the Studio Calico - Mister Huey's Calico WHITE mist!

I've had this bottle for a while now, but only just put it to use (and trust me, I'm not letting go of it). I love the look that it creates on the kraft cardstock, how it helps highlights the borders of my pictures and adds that little touch that I needed to complete the layout. Yeap, this is the first of many to come...

For this layout, I also used the February Main Kit from Studio Calico and am just having fun with all the yummy colors. And did you notice, something isn't straight (for once) on my layout...That little tilt there with the red strip - took me about an hour to decide. I'm such a sucker for straight lines (hopeless me).

And a big thanks for stopping by everyone. Hope that you guys are having a fabulous week so far!

New Pink Paislee - Daily Junque

Hi Everyone, Yes - I'm still here and I know its been super quiet around here lately but I haven't had the opportunity to share all my projects on the blog (instead I'm just creating away and away...lol). But here's a little something that was just posted on the Pink Paislee blog for the "Todays Tutorial" post - sharing my tips and tricks in creating the tissue paper flowers (yes, I'm still addicted to theses - what can I say, and given that Pink Paislee just came out with these tissue papers (called printed sheets). oh I'm not going to be able to get enough of these).

and here's a close up of the flower... although these have a different feel from the crepe paper ones... I'm loving these just as much!

Don't forget to stop by the Pink Paislee blog for more close up shots and also the step by step for the flower. Thanks again for stopping by everyone!!!

finally scrapping again...

after not having scrapped in a while, I totally scrapped up a storm over the weekend! I think I managed to finish off 6 layouts (4 of them were almost done to begin with - they were missing the pictures and titles) and on top of that, there's another one that is almost completed on my desk (just need to glue it all down... lol).

and here are some sneeks of what I've been up too... another flower crazy phase.

Photobucket

and isn't that prima bloom absolutely gorgeous... I just couldn't resist grabbing a few of these over the weekend at MWL!!!

Photobucket

Photobucket

and to add to that... I also started on another round of spring cleaning (again). I could swear that I just purged a whole lot of goodies, but there's still tons of stuff everywhere (would you believe it - I have over 20 edge punches - crazy right? but then again, the shopping trips with my sister in chicago didn't help either. I went absolutely crazy with the deals everywhere - what can I say it was super cold in chicago and therefore we had to keep ourselves warm by shopping till we dropped...lol - although to be honest, I think we spent more time window shopping than actual shopping **wink**).

and off to get really for meeting... promise to be back soon to share some layouts and a big thanks everyone for stopping by!

ps. missing everyone from CHA (you guys know who you are!!!)
