@ the tamansari

here's the first of several layouts that i am working on (or will be starting soon, i hope), from my trip to jogjakarta, indonesia. these series of pictures were taken at the tamansari, which means the "water castle". the area was hidden away abit and we accidently stumble upon the place, I was really surprise with the architecture.

for this one, made a simple and fun layout using the my little shoebox papers; love their sweet colors.

Just one of those days...

There are those days when i wish i was somewhere else and today is definitely like that. Woke up not feeling too good this morning (wasn't sure if it was all the celebration last night - one of my colleague recently got promotion to senior manager – congrats again!), but with all the things happening at work. Yeap I wish I was somewhere else – maybe on another project where your efforts are appreciated. It’s very tiring when you try to help and all you meet is just resistant to change.

Anyway (and thanks for putting up with all my rumbling)… here’s something colorful to cheer up my day and hopefully yours too…

Just Being Together...

I really had to scratch my head on this one for the jillibean soup sketch challenge - how to do a circle LO. The first issue was how am i going to get a circle... first went on a shopping search to find the ultimate circle cutter - without any luck, then went searching around my apartment for something circle and as big as 12" in diameter. Finally decided on my dinner plate! yeap, interesting isn't it... the things that we would do sometimes...

and here's my take on their sketch --> for more details check out the jillibean soup blog

Been Scrapping Away

Wow... can't believe that i spent most of the day scrapping today... usually it's only a few hours here there. Guess today is a catching up day - been busy the last few days as my mother was visiting me here in singapore and ruben is in london on a business trip (so jealous!). so a nice relaxing and quite day for me here in singapore...

and here's a couple of items that i managed to scrap today (well there were some that i started a few days back, but never had the chance to finish them)...

this one... of me again (at san gimignano, italy)... and using the graphic 45 papers (again). I know - I just used these papers, but just so in love that i had to grab them out again, i'm addicted!! also testing out this new picture effect - i found this website that adds a vintage look to your pictures - do check out the website here. what do you guys think?

What do we do when life gets to you....

It has been pretty rough the last couple of week with all the work - the long hours and constant bashing from all ends... and just when I thought things couldn't get any worst. Rejection! yes it comes in all forms, even in the ones that you thought you would be able to depend on in hard times.

so, what do we do... when life gets to you, when you feel as thou you've reached rock bottom. I do wonder how long it will take me to get out of this one.

Believing in our dreams…

I just love this week challenge from scrapping out loud – prompt: I have a dream…

“I dream that one day I would find my true calling
Doing something that I enjoy much much more…”

I know it’s vague and that’s because I’m not sure just yet… but I just know that there’s got to be more than this. (me rambling on again and again).

On That Special Day...

Finally finished all my assignments, both for MWL and Dreamgirls...

Love the sizzix assignment for September - wedding theme - it really brings back the memories; although they are only about a year old, but it really feels like forever. Here's a few more peaks at the items - this time around it's a 8x8 layout and a bouquet of flowers (all from sizzix). I just couldn't wait to use the new sizzix dies that i had gotten yesterday - what a deal MWL had (4 for 44% off).

Also another peak - at the next dreamgirl challenge and if you haven't checked out the website lately - there's an awesome challenge going on right now "white-out" (there's still abit of time left if you hurry). When was the last time you create an all white layout?

Well off to bed for now... nite nite everyone!

I can't believe it's sunday night already - this week has gone by so so so fast. I haven't had time to do anything else, but work. Speaking of which - we had to work on Saturday tooo :( so tired still....

As for scrapping, today was the only day that I had a chance to just sit down a relax abit, and manage to get a few things done - assignments for MWL. Hoping to be able to show them in the coming days. For now... here's something that I completed earlier in the week, but never really had the chance to share....

This one is for all the wonderful memories at eperney & reims, the champagne regions of France. Yes.... it's champagne time!!!! and not to mention, the unbelievable miles and miles of cellar underground - amazing & yummy!
