Fancy Pant Share, CK Winner & Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Hi Everyone, I can't believe that the week is almost over. The past few days have honestly just zoomed by and am definitely looking forward to a quite weekend. Although as tired as I am at the moment, I had tons of fun in KL the past weekend - scrapping away with a group of wonderful ladies (more details here scrappingville) and now, having a fun time working with my colleagues in Jakarta this week.

I haven't had a chance to do much scrapping the past few days, but had done this layout a while back and couldn't resist sharing. Using the beautiful Baby Mine Collection from Fancy Pants, I created this 2page (8.5x11) layout for my best friend. I was just speechless when I met Baby Lanna - she's absolutely gorgeous and adorable...

CK Giveaway - Holidays & Celebrations

Hi Everyone, I'm back with another giveaway from Creating Keepsakes and this time around its for their Special Issue - Scrapbooking Holidays & Celebrations. Which is filled with ideas for about every holiday and celebration you can imagine.

Photobucket

.... and sharing my layout that's published in this issue, capturing and celebrating the wonderful moments of our wedding ceremony. I'll never forget that day - starting from 6:00am, our guests were lined up outside of the house all ready for "Kan Mak" procession.

Photobucket

**a few of you mentioned not being able to see the details and therefore, I couldn't resist sharing some close up of the various elements on the layout.... my thought process when creating this layout was that I wanted to keep the simplicity of the layout/design but there's just many things that I wanted to include to remind me of that special day (wooden hearts and blooms). therefore I opted to create embellishment clusters with the various embellishments that I had selected; but was still able to leave the other areas clean and simple.**

Photobucket

Photobucket

and here's a few more sneaks of what you'll find in the magazine...

And once again, the wonderful ladies at CK have given me a copy to giveaway to one lucky person here. So if you're interested in this issue (and I know you are) - just leave me a comment on this blog post by midnight Sunday Nov 20th and I'll randomly draw a winner on Monday. Lily Bee Heads Over Heels & CK Winner

Hi Everyone, sharing my project that was recently posted on the Lily Bee Blog yesterday using the gorgeous Heads Over Heels collection (aren't the colors absolutely yummy?) Also if you haven't heard - Lily Bee and Maya Road have teamed up this week to bring you guys tons of inspiration and also some giveaways too (ps. head on over to the Lily Bee Blog for more details).

Photobucket

In addition to the pattern papers from the Heads Over Heels collection, I also used the cardstock stickers throughout the album and also as the title "You & I".

Photobucket

It's no secret that I love maya road products, as this picture frame mini album that I had purchases is one of my all time favorite designs. I just love the mix of the raw chipboard color against those of the pattern papers and embellishments.

Photobucket

Also in creating this album - I had used both the Memorandum and Heads Over Heels stamps set (the LOVE here is from the Heads Over Heels and another favorite is the number set used on the first page - from the Memorandum collection).

Photobucket

And sharing a few more details on the other pages...

CK Magazine Giveaway (Fabric & Notions) *Closed*

Hi Everyone - I'm back to share another giveaway from Creating Keepsake and its for their latest speciall issue "Scrapbooking with Fabric & Notions". This is by far one of my favorite issues as it explore a different product medium than your everyday papers and mixing in a bit of fabric and/or notions also adds a fun twist to projects.

Photobucket

But I think what I'm most excited about in this issue, is that I got the chance to create the COVER layout! YES that's my layout (minus the adorable picture)! This is my first ever cover layout and you can probably imagine how stressed out I was when I had gotten the assignment. I was driving hubby up the wall as I was bouncing ideas off him (literally with a squeeze ball too), then making a mess of our apartment as I tried to figure out what products to use and finally holding my breath as I hit sent and awaited the verdict. (thank goodness it didn't take long for the ok to come). and still can't believe that's my layout!

I also had the opportunity to create another layout for this magazine using sewing patterns papers and just feel in love with the texture that it adds to the project. Loving how you can pretty much do anything to these and also how durable they are. Seriously, I thought that flower might fall apart but nope, these sewing pattern papers are super strong. Highly recommend to give it a try if you haven't already...

Photobucket

and for more sneaks of the magazine...

Pink Paislee Hot Hues November

Hi Everyone, sharing my wooden shadow box project that I did for the pink paislee blog post today based on this month's hot hues color inspiration. I went for a fun and simple project that could be used as a home decor item.

Photobucket

I just adore the gorgeous fall colors and found some of these in the nantucket collection. Also I was inspired by one of the images provided and want to create my own bouquet of flowers (in this case a handful of paper rosette flowers in various sizes). And to add the finishing touches, include the adorable wooden hearts that can be found in the wood shop alphabet - sawdust set (misted them with studio calico - orchard mist color).

Photobucket

For the touch of orange - I went with the mistable pattern papers and using the studio calico orchard mist, I create my little title banner. (seriously - these mistable pattern papers are a must have! the possibilities are endless with these! stock up & to be hoarded)

Photobucket

thanks for stopping by everyone and do check out my blog post on the pink paislee blog for me details. thanks again.

Photobucket

getting ready for november

hi everyone - thanks again for all the wonderful wishes and prayers. my little sis is back in bangkok at the moment with my mother and we're just taking it day by day. taking it as it comes. and now with the reduced stress, my scrappy mojo is finally coming back... and I've been scrapping up a storm lately.

and here's my latest lily bee assignment that just went up on the lily bee blog today... having a go at those letter envelopes. I've been seeing people use these in various ways and thought I would try creating my own little envelope pocket booklet with them...
Photobucket

I started out with a few of these awesome kraft envelopes I found the other day (25 for $0.84SGD) - what deal and the most important part - they're KRAFT!!! and also the new index journaling cards from the lily bee harvest market collection - these cards are just too too adorable and are just the perfect size for this project.

Photobucket

keeping things really simple, I stacked the envelopes up and sown around the bottom three sides - leaving the top open for all the cards and any other miscellaneous items that I'll be including through out the month...

Photobucket

Photobucket

thanks again everyone for stopping by and don't forget to check out the details here to on the lily bee blog.

and also a big thanks everyone for all your support on my latest class at MWL - Simply Us - and in case you didn't have a chance to attend the classes last month, there are two more classes scheduled for this month. I'll be teaching this Saturday's Nov 5th class and Swee Ching will be teaching Monday's Nov 21st class.; for more details here.

Photobucket

once again I want to thank everyone for all the wonderful support and have enjoyed every moment! as mentioned earlier - I'll be taking a break from teaching regularly in Singapore after this class. I'm not sure for how long but at the moment there aren't any other classes planned.

but this by no means that I won't be teaching anymore and am open to any opportunities that come my way. and speaking of which, here's some sneaks of one of my classes for Scrappingville later this month; we're going to have so much fun creating this mini envelope album using one of the hottest collection of this season - Crate Paper Random.

I hope you guys are as excited about this as I am, and am honored to be invited back to teach there - was thrilled beyond when Sharon had contact me about this 2+ months ago. and stay tune for more sneaks of the second class and I'm {know} you're going to love this one even more!!! (for more details on the classes please contact Scrappingville)

a big thanks again everyone for stopping by and especially for all your support!
