Hi there.... I'm back to share my assignment that I recently did for Made With Love and this time around I opted to create some vintage tags (which are now hanging in the store if you would like a closer peak); using the gorgeous vintage whimsy collection from girl paperie and also mixing in some crate paper too (the brown pattern papers).
And also trying out a new sizzix die - Fringed Flower #657115 - that I just bought (I was testing this at the store and couldn't resist coming home with one). Isn't that flower just gorgeous, you have got to try this... (ps. and this is also the same flower that is also used in the "Enjoy Today" class).
Also putting all those prima flowers to some good use...
And finally breaking in the new maya road chipboard collection - these little circle chipboards are just too too cute. Also I'm thrilled beyond that Jenni Bowlin finally came out with the butterfly stamps (I've been in love with that image since they were rub-ons) and can't wait to see what new stamps they'll have in the next collection.
And here a picture of another stamp from Jenni Bowlin - the starburst ones (I think that's what they are called) and these are super fun to work with and really love how the 2in punchouts fits perfect in these circles.
I really do love how these tags came out and will definitely be creating more of these....
Thanks for stopping by everyone and do check back later in the week as there's more projects to be shared!!!

CK Winner & Pink Paislee Yummies
helllo there?.... anyone there?
I know its been a bit quiet here lately, but the past week in Bangkok, then Laos and finally Cambodia.... well, I guess you could image. I didn't get much of anything else done other than a lot of sight seeing and eating (oh yes, we ate our hearts away and at the moment I'm to terrified to weigh myself on the scale - eeek).
but before I go on and on about all the things that we saw, the amazing temples, the trek through the juggle, a refreshing swim in the waterfall....
a big CONGRATS to Christa - the lucky winner of the CK Fabulous Flower Issue!!! Please email me your address details, so we can get the magazine out to you! & a big thanks everyone for stopping by and leaving me a comment, sharing your plans with me! thank you - love reading them!
also wanted to share this layout that I created for the pink paislee blog last week sharing a really simple tip that you can use your circle punches for... and also having some fun using up all those scraps that I've saving (and refusing to let go)!
and yes, making good use of the sewing machine again!! yeah (finally after 8 months after buying it, I'm actually using it)
also made this super cute flower with the tissue paper - I think there'll definitely be more of these soon. really love how they turn out.
and loop them up for a bit of added fun!! lol
thanks again for stopping by everyone!! and promise to not be gone too long this time. :)

lily bee - it's a fun affair
just a quick note to let you know that I have a new layout up on the lily bee blog today. it's alittle something I created to capture the time that we had spent with DH nephew this past fall. It was great to be able to see everyone again during our trip to Belgium then and also take the boys out for a day or two.
for this layout, I used lily bee picket fence and stationery collections. and I know I say it way too many times, but LOVE the stationery collection!!!
and a few more close up shots of the layout.. this one focusing on the Studio Calico wooden stars. another up and coming favorite of mine. I really do like the texture and also the variations of the wooden embellishments and especially when you color them, they give that added character that you don't find in chipboards pieces.
and now using the banner stickers from the picket fence collection to make little flags, just like the ones that we saw at the amusement park.
also {and saving the best bits for last} don't you love that polaroid look on the pictutes. yeap, that's done using the super fun polaroid stamp from the Say Cheese stamp set from Fawn Lawn {and oh you've got to check out the camera stamp from the same collection, it's even cuter!!!}
supplies used include:
cardstock: american crafts (white and brown) and bazzill (kraft); pattern paper: lily bee designs (picket fence and stationery collections); wooden star embellishments: studio calico; white mist: studio calico; chipboard elements: lily bee designs (domestic bliss and lovely); button: jenni bowlin; pins (for the flags): maya road; stamp: fawn lawn (say cheese stamp set); alpha stickers: lily bee design (picket fence collection); punch: ek success (circle and edge) and fiskars (butterfly)
thanks for stopping by everyone and the CK Magazine giveaway is still open, please leave me a comment on this blog post by midnight Friday May 20th for a chance at a copy of this issue.

sometimes....
sometimes life has something else planned for you
sometimes things don't work out the way that we wish it would
sometimes it feels like everyone is out to get you
sometimes I wish.....
... but through out the times, I am always gratefull to have you by my side. through the good and all the bad times... thank you for the support, this is all I really need.... it's been one of those days (at work again) that I wonder why I'm doing what I am doing...
I haven't been scrapping as much lately but felt that I need to do some therapeutic scrapping last night and therefore grab the "Love Nest" collection from Glitz that I had gotten awhile back but haven't had a chance to cut into it yet (till now that is). I was hoping to have this done in time for their first challenge that they are currently having, but looks as thou I didnt make it...lol either way, here's a little something I create for DH.
included a bit of misting... (using studio calico - classic calico color, which matched perfectly with the color scheme of the collection). and also playing with various textures on this layout... from the paper doily, to the wooden hearts, string/twine and also some tim hotlz tissue paper tape (I've been totally crazy about all these tissue paper tape - loving them).
and on a happier note - have you guys been following long with all the activities and fun over at CK Club??? you definitely should check it out if you haven't already and especially all the challenges that we are having (they're giving away magazine subscriptions!!!). And also please don't forget to check back later today - as I'll be hosting a challenge over there too!!!

embossing mishap....
sharing a little card that I made for the lily bee post today... a little something to celebrate mother's day....
I used a mix of pattern papers from the happily lost and stationary collections - the later being something that I always reach for when working on any project. I just love the range of colors and that vintage touch that they have (perfect for mixing with other brands). Also using the cameos chipboard set from maya road. I opted to cover two of the pieces with the coordinating pattern paper and for the portrait piece - I went for the embossing look. And in the mist of heating the embossing powder, there was a small mishap which resulted in the perfect vintage look that I wanted for the card (will definitely be having more of this distress embossing look in the future...)
thanks for stopping by everyone... and have you guys created your mother's day card yet?
