travels through italy...

I'm honored and thrilled to be a guesting for Shimelle's 4x6 Photo Love class on 2Peas this October and the challenge for this month is to scrap 10 - 4x6 photos (that's a lot right?). But when you pair this with the AC 10x12 page protectors - got it done in a flash!

Photobucket

and using the fun amy tangerine collection again for this project (honestly this collection has just the right mix of colors and fun for any project). also loving the design and color on those tapes!!

Photobucket

and since all 10 slots had to use for the pictures, I then created 4x6 journaling cards that tuck behind the pictures - to capture all the fun moments at the various cities / regions that I had the wonderful opportunity to visit. LOVE ITALY! also what I really love about these page protectors from American Crafts is that you have different photo slots for the front and back.

also adding a small touch of hambly here (with the cute flag rub-on). and for more close up pictures of the project, please check out my 2peas project post here.

Photobucket

thanks for stopping by everyone and all the wonderful comments. also a very big thank you for your wishes and prayers - at the moment, we are still dry in Bangkok and praying that the floods would spare us. thank you.

and a HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!

not getting any better...

thanks everyone for all your wishes and prayers. i know it has been quiet around here lately, but honestly I can't seem to focus on scrapbooking (or even work for that matter) given the current situation back home. although I'm back in Singapore now, I can't help worry about my mother and praying that that housing estate compound will hold up at least until Sunday (when my sister will be arriving from the states and would be able to help - that is if I don't jump on a plane back there first).

the flood situation around our house has gotten worst (in general all of outer bangkok) - areas that were dried last weekend are now seeing some water or are flooded and this time around, mummy has started packing the essentials that she would be able to carry in case she has to evacuate the house. guess now we are coming to terms with not only the damage to house (in case water gets in) but also what would be stolen if we are to evacuate.

life sure does work in mysterious ways

but before disappearing for a few days again, here are some pictures of previous projects that I haven't had a chance to share here yet.

Pink Paislee Halloween Project - using the new Phantom Collection & 7Gypsies tray. ( more details on the pink paislee blog post here - would love to hear your thoughts)

Lily Bee Fall Card & Tags - using the new Harvest Market Collection and having fun with the silhouette machine.

And lastly, here's a sneak of the layout that I created for Shimelle's Pretty Paper Party! Remember there's no such thing as being late to this party (more details here):

Also for those in Singapore - just wanted to let you know that I have some grab bags up for sale again (more details here and quantities are limited).

Thanks everyone for stopping by and all your wonderful support.

Winner, CK Blog Post & Pinterest Challenge

and the party pass for Shimelle's Pretty Paper Party goes too......

Photobucket

Photobucket

A big congratulations Margie! Please drop me your email address details so I can pass it onto our lovely party hostess. You're going to love this party - I'm already enjoying all the party favors and fun!!

---------------------------------------------------------

And wanted to share that I was a guest blogger on the CK blog this past Monday --> do check it out the full details here. I was super excited and seriously nervous - no wonder it took me over 2 days to write those few words (sad right? - the honest truth, I'm really bad when it comes to writing anything). LOL

My post for CK was focused on Pinterest and the unlimited inspiration that you can there. Also I had the opportunity to host this month Pinterest Challenge on Club CK. I really do hope you guys join in on the fun and would love to see how the various images had inspired you.

Photobucket

For my samples, I had selected these two images (source and source) as my inspiration for the layouts below. On the first layout, I had used the gorgeous crate paper farmhouse collection and bits of the amy tangerine leaves - to mirror the composition of the elements in the image and also keeping with the same color scheme.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

With the inspiration overdrive - I couldn't stop at just one layout and therefore grab the amazing Picadilly collection from Basic Grey (thank you ever so much BG) and got started working on the details, inspired by the various elements and objects from the image.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

Want to see the rest of the images from Pinterest that are included in the Challenge --> check out the full details here and you have until October 24th to play along with us.

And in addition to having a chance at winning a mystery goodie box from CK - leave a comment on this post linking me to your take on the challenge and I'll randomly draw another winner for another surprise pack from me!!! Double fun right?

A big thanks everyone for stopping by and all your support. Thank You!!
(ps. Linda - please do check back in a few days as I'll be sharing how I take pictures of my layouts as requested. thanks for your suggestion)

Shimelle's Pretty Paper Party & Giveaway

Photobucket

There are online classes for everything these days, and Shimelle has been teaching online scrapbooking classes for years - but she's decided it's time to kick it up a bit and go from online class to a four-week online party, and you're invited. Pretty Paper Party is the party to attend if you have a collection of paper stacked up for a rainy day, if you have more scraps of paper than you know what to do with (but you know you don't want to throw them away!) and if you've ever put a piece of paper back in your stash because it was just too special for the photos at hand. Through printable prompts and tutorial videos, Shimelle and dozens of special party guests will share beautiful and innovative techniques you can achieve with the paper you have already collected.

Now doesn't that sound like an absolutely amazing party? And I'm thrilled and honored to be one of Shimelle's special party guest and the best part is, I also get to bring a friend along. So if you're interested in coming to one of the best pretty paper party ever (with super yummy cupcakes), then leave a comment on this blog post sharing which is your favorite paper collection of the season. You have till midnight Tuesday Oct 18th to post your details and I'll randomly draw the lucky guest on Wednesday morning. If you've already signed up, you can still enter the giveaway and if chosen, Shimelle will refund the cost or you can give the class pass to a friend.

Although class starts today, but as with any good party, it's okay to arrive fashionably late. The class has no deadlines and everyone receives permanent access to all the class materials, so anyone can RSVP to the party at any time!

Hope to see you guys there and thanks for stopping by.
Also my other giveaway for the Get Picky 1st B-Day Blog Hop below is still open.

a new class & catching up...

wow - is this week already over (it's friday evening 11:05pm over here) and I have finally decided that I've had just about enough of work for the day; although there's still a lot to do but then again, work is a never ending story. lol

and on the scrapping side of things, I've been a bit behind on sharing some details and so without further ado...

here are some sneaks of my latest class at Made With Love this month - using the fun Pink Paislee Mistable Wooden Album & Papers and also their Nantucket collection. I hope guys would be able to join me in this fun mini album class as we get our hands slightly dirty with distress ink and also a bit of paint. Also just wanted to share that I'll be taking a break from teaching there for a while afterwards as work is getting busier and busier. For more details on dates and availability - please contact the store (details here).

Photobucket

and on the topic of Pink Paislee have you read the Live Pink Newsletter yet? You might just want to as this month we're having a fun Halloween Contest where you could win a $50 gift certificate to amazon.com and at the same time, get ready for Halloween! And if you don't have the Phantom collection just yet, you might want to head over here as they're giving away an entire collection to 3 lucky readers (giveaway open till Wed Oct 19th).

and then there's also the new mid-collection from Pink Paislee - Snow Day Collection - and it's gorgeous. I just got my box of goodies today and loving everything - from the sweet colors to the fun design (those mittens are too adorable). and for those in Singapore - it's here at Made With Love too!

Photobucket

and now for all the Lily Bee fans out there (I know you guys all are) - have you seen the latest sketch challenge on the Lily Bee Blog? There's still time to join in on the fun - just post your take on the sketch on Lily Bee's Facebook Page or link us up in either one of these posts here or here. Can wait to see your take on this amazing sketch by Katja.

and isn't this the cutest ever - those pumpkins are my favorites from the American Crafts Nigthfall collection.

and now.... I'm off to bed!
nite nite everyone and a big thanks for stopping by.

Lily Bee Memorandum

hi everyone - hope you guys had a great weekend! I know I did - coz I did absolutely NOTHING (well maybe squeezed in a layout or two, but otherwise - nothing other than being a couch potato all weekend long - oops). its funny how you can start out planning the day and wondering why there aren't 48 hours in a day - to finally doing nothing (not even checking my work emails and we had a workshop kick-off this past Sunday in Arabia - I figured if the guys had a problem, they would mostly likely call... right?). LOL

and you know when the weekend is over when that alarm bell rings and you're dragging yourself outta bed towards that trusted coffee machine... yeap, welcome Monday!

but on a fun note - it also means that my latest lily bee assignment is up on the Lily Bee Blog today - and the focus for today is the gorgeous (and my favorite) Memorandum Collection. I honestly can't get enough of the colors and designs in this collection and this time around, I opted to create a mini album to capture my everyday (with the things that I look forward to in the day).

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket

having lots of fun with the studio calico - calico white mist and also the latest twine color - buttermilk from the twinery. and a big thanks to everyone for all the sweet comment about my previous AC layout - thank you!!!

and Sierra: about your question on what I use to glue down the twine - it's this new quickie glue pen that I've recently discovered from Sakura. it works like a charm. if this doesn't hold for you then its the beacon 3in1 advance glue (I pretty much use this for everything else).

thanks again everyone for stopping by.

***updated***

and thank you to everyone at 2peas - you guys are the best and especially for making this little girl's day.
