a very merry (late) christmas...
I seem to be losing track of time these days and also for some reason, I thought that I would have internet access on aboard a boat. Really not sure what I was thinking that day (and still wonder). For this christmas, we decided to celebrate in Hanoi, Vietnam - with the highlight being the over night boat trip in Halong Bay. An absolutely amazing sight, with the thousands of islands everywhere...
And will definitely be sharing tons more of pictures over the next few days about the trip, more amazing shots from Halong Bay and the buzzing city of Hanoi. But for now, a late but very Merry Merry Christmas to everyone!!! And sharing a few cards that I created for some wonderful folks... I hope they like them.
using papers & stickers from Crate Paper - Snow Day collection
using papers & embellishments from Crate Paper - Snow Day collection
using papers from Pink Paislee - Father Christmas collection
using papers, embellishments and stamp from American Crafts - Christmas collection
using papers and stickers from Bella Blvd - Christmas collection
using papers and chipboard embellishments from Lily Bee - Christmas Town collection
Thanks for stopping by!!! And wishing that everyone had a wonderful holidays!!!

Guest Designing for Magistical Memories
This month I have the honor of guest designing for magistical memories and the opportunity to work with their yummy chipboard goodies. For this layout, I had used the larger cirlce from their nesting circle set to create a focal point on the layout (other goodies used are from Studio Calico Nov main kit).
I first started with painting the chipboard with gesso/white paint and then applied using baby wipes abit of distress ink randomly along the piece. I really love how the moisture from the baby wipes dilluted the ink abit, creating a more distress look and was also easlier to blend into the paint. And finally added abit of stamping here and there (also using the stamp from my studio calico kit - I think this one was from one of their add-on kits and has now become a new fav of mine!)
I still have a few more projects to share using their chipboards, but for now... wishing everyone a very merry christmas and a happy new year!!

at times...
hi everyone, a quick post to share a simple and fun layout that I create a little while back; to capture a moment that hubby and I had. You know those time when you say something and he just goes off on another... Yeap - those moments. (my version of he said ... she said ... where what she said is always right!)
The key focus for this layout is on the flower and the envelope, where I have also included some of the details of the conversation (sorry guys - a bit personal on this one). As for the flower - I first misted it with a pinkish glimmer mist to added a bit of glimmer and then embellished with various brads before poking the leaf pins for the final touches.
supplies used include:
cardstock: american crafts; pattern paper: my minds eye; envelope: maya road; leaf pins: maya road; brads: american crafts; chipboard alphas: american crafts; chipboard button: lily bee design; sticker flower: sassafras; gold transparency: hambly; sticker alphas: october afternoon; other: twine, ribbon, doily and fabric flower
Thanks for stopping by everyone and off to grab some sleep for the days ahead!! (and will be back tomorrow with the winners for the CK magazine giveaway!)

Pencil Line Sketch
finally I have some more inspirations to share!!! I've been waiting for the opportunity to share this layout, that I created for Pencil Line as their guest designer this week and finally having the chance to use one of my favorite collection from this CHA Summer - Sweetness Collection from Pink Paislee.
I just adore this collection and had to get two of everything!!! {also tripled up on some items too.... I know, I've just gone gaa ga guu gu!!!} wouldn't you?
For this layout - I used a sketch provided by Pencil Line - Sketch 216 - to create a little something to capture one of the sweetest and funniest moments. I just love how my mother just managed to capture the moment and that expression... and the funny part... well this picture was one out of about 100 pictures that my mother took in that spot {you should have seen the line of people waiting there to take their pictures...lol...oops!}
and here's my take on the sketch...
aren't the papers just divine? and now addicted to these butterflies created using the making memories slice machine {I can't believe the wonders that this little machine does - i love you making memories!!!}.
and just in case you missed my previous post on the CK magazine giveaway {check below} - there's still time to leave me a comment if you are interested!
thanks again for stopping by guys and especially for sharing what everyone is looking forward to this christmas. at the moment for me, it would be to get some sleep. nite nite.

how fast time flies by...
just a quick note to say...
wow, can't believe it's already friday! where has the week gone by? I really thought that today was either wednesday or thursday and that I still had a few more hours and days left before the end of the week. Needless to say, all the things that I had planned to do before the end of the week... never quite got done.
also sad to say that I haven't done much else other than work and work and work. the past few days have been early mornings in the office till late evenings and when I finally do get home... I'm already so tired that after dinner that I just crawl into bed. lol
i haven't had a chance to scrap all week long nor be able to catch up on my emails (sorry guys for the delay in getting back to you)... I really do hope this won't be a normal occurrence around here. hopefully I'll be able to sort out my issues and problems every soon... and then be able to enjoy the day again.
as for now... thanks for all your comments and support and hopefully will have some more eye candy & inspirations to share soon. :)

a place called home...
Hi there... everyone! I finally had a chance to do a bit of scrapping this weekend... finishing off a few layouts that i started a while back and also creating this layout for this week Made With Love assignment... focusing on distress ink / stamping techniques.
For this layout, I first started off by creating the distress effect on the kraft cardstock - by using tim holtz distress ink and water - to add a bit of texture, color and design to the plain cardstock. [on a glossy surface, first stamp the distress inks and spray water onto the inked areas before swaping the cardstock over the area.]
And then with the adorable house stamp [from studio calico], I stamped the imagine on matching pattern paper and cut-out the details to create my own embellishments.
And of course, how could any layout be complete without a bit of twine... right? I'm just having too much fun with these new colors that I just got....lol!!!
And here is another close up of the details on the layout... using the super fun rub-ons from the lily bee domestic bliss collection.
supplies used include:
cardstock: bazzill; pattern paper: lily bee - domestic bliss collection and fancy pants (light blue); envelop: maya road; leaf pin: maya road; ink: tim holtz distress inks; chipboard flowers: lily bee - domestic bliss collection; flower: prima; glitter chipboard accenture: pink paislee; rub-ons: lily bee - domestic bliss collection; stamp: studio calico (house) and my mind's eye (script); transparency: hambly; foam alphas: american crafts; adhesive: american crafts (foam dots) and beacon (liquid glue)
**and you guys are the best! - thanks always for your support**
Hopefully I've inspired you guys a bit to get out those distress ink... **wink**
And thanks always for all the comments and your support! Nite Nite!
