for this month made with love DT assignment, the focus was on one of my favorite supplies... thickers!! its the one thing that I can't scrap without and also you can never have enough of these... and on this particular layout, I used the thickers for the title and also as an embellishment by adding them randomly onto the pattern paper or behind it for abit more dimension and texture.
I also had a blasting playing with the crate paper pattern paper that we got in our kit. aren't these the cutest patterns... and also speaking of crate paper... can't wait to start digging (more like cutting) into the restoration collection that I managed to get my hands on... yummy!!!
and before disappearing again to continue with exploring barcelona... here's some pictures of the amazing city so far...
thanks for stopping by!

off again...
The week has gone by super fast and I'm not even half done with all things that I had planned to do before having to get on the plane (I really need to work on planning skills). But for now I'm off again and this time around, I'm heading to Barcelona and Brussels to catch up with some friends and of course, visit the inlaws :)
tata for now and will definitely keep you guys posted on all the sites and sounds... lol... (I just picked up a new camera at the airport; as I had to leave my slr behind.) For some strange reason my canon got the error 99 and I have no idea what's wrong with it and will probably bring it in when I get back. :(

Color Combos Galore & Pencil Line
have you heard ...
"Pencil Lines is celebrating their 200th anniversary, and they've invited Color Combos Galore to the party! Two hundred sketches--what an amazing accomplishment! Congratulations, Pencil Lines! We were invited to be their Guest Host for the rest of the month to celebrate their impressive milestone. With Color Combos Galore contributing the palette and Pencil Lines providing the sketch-- it's a match made in scrappy heaven! "
yes, since last week we had a chance to not only working with the fun color pallets but also the gorgeous sketches provided by Anna from Pencil Line. and for this week, I got to play along with the challenge... (its a 2 pager tooo)
and here's my take on it, went with 2 - 8.5x11"pages and using some of the new My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Collection (oh I'm just so in love)...
and a small little creation of mine...
finally put these chipboard bird cages from maya road to some good use and also dusting off those crackle paint that I had been collecting...
more birdies and with these, I first painted glitter mist on then (the spray wasn't working) and then stamped the text image on them....
Thanks for stopping by everyone and hope you join in the celebration over at Pencil Line (and of course at CCG too).

CCG Challenge #156
just a quick one to let you know that the new color combo galore challenge is up and once again, janet has put together a super fun pallet and this time around, the extra challenge is to scrap your page in 1 hour, base on the sketch provided. surprising enough... i manage to finish mine in about 45 mins... yeap, unbelievable! just glue as you go... once its down, its down.
and my take on the challenge and switching up the sketch a bit... a little something to celebrate my second year anniversary !
and yes, i'm still addicted to these super fun ribbons... lol
thanks again for stopping by and off, to prepare for my class this afternoon. a big thanks for interest and can't wait to see everyone!

abit of bee time...
just a quick note to let you know that my post is up on the lily bee blog and sharing some inspirations in using all the left over scraps that I just collect and collect and collect!!!
does that happen to you? I can never bring myself to throw anything away and end up keeping every bit and piece of the papers. therefore, for this month post, I wanted to challenge myself to use up all the scraps that I have... mixing the papers together, using the chipboard to cover up the missing bits and also using the punch to create some dimension to the page. it's just amazing what you can do to a few bits and pieces of paper...

all things american crafts (part 2)
i'm always amazed at how fast time flies by. it's been a year since I had the opportunity to be part of the american crafts contributing team, which also means that I've been with made with love (my local scrapbook store) for about a year and a few months and in turn, that would mean I've been scrapbooking for a little bit more than 2 years now (and also it was just my second wedding anniversary a few days ago).
wow, time really has flown by... it still seems like yesterday when I was learning how to use a chipboard album, how to adhere brads onto a layout, and what's the difference between a normal pair of scissors and those marketed for scrapbooking (and still don't understand..lol)... yep, there was a time when I didn't know much of anything (and still pretty much don't know much).
but one thing i know for sure, is that it's been an amazing year for me. not only did I get a chance to work with a super great company but got to know a lot of amazing people here (and actually meet up with some too). a big thank you to everyone for making it a wonderful year and of course, to those many many many more too come!
so continuing with my previous post, here are some more AC projects that were posted on their blog or are my favorites...
the coupon booklet...
and then there was "dear lizzy"... and I just went crazy!
and ekkkk!!! getting older too...
and then summer came... with the super fun "heat wave" collection...
and more dear lizzy....
and last but not least... here's a pot of flowers for you :)
its definitely fun looking back at all the creations and then you start to wonder, what was I thinking then, did I really do that... uhmmmm. and once again, a big big congrats to the amazing AC team for 2010-2011 and can't wait to see all the amazing inspirations from everyone. also a big shout out to Pooi Pooi for being selected, you're going to have tons of fun!!
and as one door closes, another one opens - I am truly grateful for all the amazing opportunities and everyone's support and can't wait to share the details with everyone (its so so so so so hard keeping this a secret)!
& thanks again for stopping by!

a new challenge @ MWL
ready for another challenge everyone??? just a quick post to let you know that I posted the Scrap Dare #4 Challenge on the Made With Love forum and hope you guys will play along. This time around, the challenge is to use the sketch provided (thanks Jana for letting us use your amazing sketch) and to also include a bit (or alot) of journaling on your page.
the challenge will run from Aug 15th to Aug 31st and a winner will be randomly selected for the yummy RAK. can't wait to see your creations and don't forget to upload them the gallery before the 31st. (sorry only open those residing in singapore)
and my take on the sketch... using the super yummy the girls paperie papers again (I just adore the combination of colors in this collection!)
and I can't get enough of those saying rub-ons from lily bee... they are super versile and can be use for almost anything... love these kristen!! also using one of my favorite stamps from stamping bella - for the journaling, and loving how it looks in that color (I recently discovered that you can stamp in any color and not just black and browns, i know it sounds funny, but i never thought to use any other color until recently; and i've just been loving the effects of it).
supplies used include:
cardstock: bazzill basic (kraft), american crafts (brown); pattern paper: the girl's paperie and basic gray; rub-on: lily bee; stamp: stamping bella; chipboard alphas: making memories; flowers: prima (small flower), maya road (large yellow); button: jenni blowin; leaf pins: maya road
thanks again for stopping by everyone... and yes, I'm still try to recover from the jet lag (this really goes to show how old I've become..lol)

drooling over these...
I couldn't resist posting my CHA Summer 2010 favorites over here after seeing all the amazing goodies over on Moxie Fab World blog (don't forget to stop by there for the entire list & all pictures where taken from the blog)...
ready for an explosion of goodies...
first off there's the two new collections from 7 Gypsies, need I say more?
and of course, there's the yummy american crafts goodies... this time around limiting myself to these two collections (to start with..lol). the gorgeous enchanted collection from dear lizzy...
and the city park collection... just loving the yellow shade in this collection and aren't those dimensional flowers the cutest?
wow wow wow - the curio collection from basic grey is just wow wow wow (and these should go perfectly with the 7 Gypsies conservatory collection too)...
and then there's cosmo cricket... going for the togetherness collection. the birdies are just too cute to pass up.
and the MUST HAVE collection for me... RESTORATION from crate paper. It's everything in this collection that's screaming out to me and will definitely need two of everything. you know, one to use and the other to look at and drool all over again and again.
also another gorgeous collection from crate paper - snow day. loving the bright and fun colors in this one.
and then there's Glitz (and boy am I so so so kicking myself at the moment), I have found new love! I really love the soft colors and design of their Love Nest collection...
and also the bright colors of their scarlett collection... me want both!!!
need I say anything.... these just talk for themselves!!!
and the one brand that I seem to reach for everytime... just realized that there's always a bit of maya road on my projects, in one form or another... (aren't those resin flowers a must and the doilies, oh doilies....)
and more embellishments from melissia frances, these have become a collector item for me; always collecting more and more and never using them...
and just saw these in person and "sign" ... I'm all covered in glitter at the moment...
oh oh oh oh oh I need need need need need this, the sweetness collection from pink paislee...
and also the parisian anthology collection tooo (just look at those trims, I already know what I'll use those for)!
and when it comes to studio calico, I just don't know where to begin...
and have you seen this the dream tool for me!!!
wow, didn't think I would get to the end... there's just so many yummy goodies out there and I just want everything!!! but unfortunately, my wallet and my heart aren't talking the same language... lol
and how about you guys? what are your must have list?
