a little american crafts...

interested in some more inspirations? my all time favorite... american crafts!

the spider pictures were taken in japan during my vacation a few weeks ago... and those are really big. we were walking in one of the gardens and i just looked up to see those above me... definitely not good - i hate spiders.

supplies include:
pattern paper: american crafts halloween collection - venom (34780), creepy (34792), undead (34793), friday the 13th (34797); buttons: american crafts halloween flair spooky (70028); glitter chipboard alphas: american crafts bewitched melon; rub ons: american crafts halloween minimarks cauldron (43338)

one of the reasons that we decided to go to japan during this time of year was because of the fall season when the leaves would be changing their colors (both thailand and singapore are too hot). the scenary was just beautiful... so in love... for this layout... wanted to capture all the changes that had been happening in the past year...

supplies used:
pattern paper: american crafts blue skies collection - here comes the sun (34982), wouldn't it be nice (34978); chipboard: american crafts blue skies glitter (77226)

thanks for stopping by... will have more to share also tomorrow (been a bit behind on posting my layouts.)

Time really flew by this week, it's already friday and so grateful for that. It has been a long long long week for me, not to mention a tiring one tooo. It's one of those times at work where the work load is piled up and people are working at 150% capacity (when we can only do 100%). I'm so happy that I enjoy doing scrapbooking, as this gives me a chance to de-stress a bit and then ... stress out again... (if that makes sense at all).

There's another layouts that I would like to share... done for 52 Sketches 52 Weeks - the current sketch challenge going on right now, don't forget to check out the details there... there's another yummy prize up for grabs

and here's my take; ); another picture from the trip to Borobudur in Indonesia. The monument is breath taking and not a surprise that it's also on the world heritage list...

supplies used:
pattern paper: pink paislee; cardstock: bazzil kraft; jewel brads: american crafts; chipboard alphas: american crafts thickers; chipboard swirls: maya road; glimmer mist: tattered angels pinecone; overlay: pink paislee

Thanks for stopping by...

being together traveling together

i always figured that if you are able to spend one week on a road trip with someone and survive smiling... then there must be something there, right? :)

although we didn't do a road trip in Japan... there were those moments...

are you sure we are not lost?
do you really know where you are going?
where are we?
are we there yet?

what can i say, i get really nervous when i'm in a place that i can't read half of the signs... but all in all we had a great time (as you can tell from all the smiles)! and yes... "when i count my blessing, i count you first"

supplies used include: pattern paper: cosmo cricket nutmeg collection; chipboard: cosmo cricket nutmeg collection; stickers: cosmo cricket nutmeg collection; envelop: maya road; crackle paint: tim holtz rock candy; glimmer mist: tattered angels burnt red; cardstock: bazzill

missing autumn...

Ooooooh i've been back only a few days already and am so missing japan with all the yummy food and the beauty everywhere. also not to mention it's so nice and cool there - it's too too too hot here in singapore.

here's my first layout to share with our pictures from japan - these are taken in nikko, a small city outside of tokyo. This garden was just amazing and stunning, i just couldn't resist taking more and more pictures and standing there starring out at all the warm colors... (you will definitely being see more pictures from this garden).

For this layout i was inspired by an ad that i just received in the mailbox, does that just look yummy. it's funny how sometimes the simplicity of things are more eye catching and not to mention, definitely get the message across and this was perfect for the challenge over at my mind's eye!

supplies used include:
pattern paper: my mind's eye bloom & grow; cardstock: american crafts, bazzill; jewel brad: american crafts; alphas: maya road; glimmer mist: tattered angels harvest orange; button: american crafts; flower die cuts: my mind's eye bloom & grow; mini alpha stickers: making memories; thread: bazzill

thanks again for stopping by and for all the wonderful comments.

Christmas is coming abit early...

finally finished the mini album assignment, well at least what i can of it. the reason for that is basically i got carried away with all the wonderful papers and embellishment from making memories, how i would create the album, how i'm going to make my little christmas tree, all the goodies (embellishments) to add on... that i forgot to think about the pictures! yeap, only when i was done and needed to place the pictures, did i realize... well i don't really have any pictures of christmas in singapore (and to think this time i even had a title ready). oh well, found pictures and hoping that this christmas, i would definitely be able to add more to this!!! (what can i say, we didn't really celebrate christmas in thailand)...

supplies include:
pattern paper - making memories mistletoe collection, chipboard album - maya road, chipboard snowflakes - maya road, chipboard swirls - maya road, embossing powder - american crafts (leaf, mustard) and ranger (snowflakes), brads - american crafts jewel brad, chipboard alphas - american crafts rockabye, ribbon - may arts, paint - making memories

it's not all work...

for this week assignment at MWL - had to work with the halloween collection from basic grey (eerie collection). the papers are tons of fun, but didn't have any halloween pictures. i think it's been over 10 years since i celebrated halloween (the joy of dressing up, the candies and running around with friends as we hop from one house to another). I was lucky to find these pictures from the project dinner (thanks ivi) and perfect for these papers.

pattern paper - basic grey eerie collection (freak, zombie, tombstone); tags - tim holtz, buttons - creative imagination, chipboard alphas - american crafts, jewel brad - american crafts, philosophy tags - tim holtz, metal label holder - making memories (antique silver), ribbon - prima, glimmer mist - tattered angels

TFL & if you haven't seen, having a small giveaway - do leave a comment by (see post below).
