Moments of Tuscany

Really wish i was back in europe for summer... especially in tuscany. For me, this picture pretty much sums up how I'm feeling at the moment. The simple things in life. It's amazing how a few trees can have such an impact. I remember driving through tuscany and thinking... wow, there's nothing in comparison to this - simple and yet beautiful.

So here's another simple (very simple) layout...

Another Simple Layout

First off - a big thanks to everyone for your comments!!! they always add a smile to my day!

Here's another one from my travel archive - a gorgeous and colorful city in france - Colmar. I remember being amazed by the bright colors of the building and all the beautiful flowers... and these papers from basic grey - lime rickey collection, were just perfect with all the colors.

...and i'm sure you've noticed, but lately my layouts have been pretty simple - simple design and embellishment/elements. not sure why - but sometimes the bare minimum looks more intriguing.

Not sure if you can see the details below - but on the strip pattern paper - i had used clear embossing powder to give the pattern paper more depth; used the bee hive background stamps.

Supplies used include:
pattern paper: basic grey - lime rickey collection
embellishments: clear buttons, robin nest dew drops, doodlebug alpha stickers, making memories mini alphas, american craft clear embossing powder, stickles - diamond
---------------------------------------------------------------

Now squeezing in a little bit of tooting....

big THANKS to the gals at Pile It On for selecting my layout for one of your scoops!!!

Yipe Yipe Yay!!!!!

Jurong Bird Park

One of the first places that we visited in singapore was the "Jurong Bird Park"- a wonderful park for an afternoon stroll with hundreds of birds and I'm sure that there's also over a hundred different species - parrots, eagles, penguins and even owls... actually maybe not a hundred, uhmmm maybe around 50+ different species....

and... for this week MWL assignment, "life is good" - and that pretty sums up our day at the park! These scenic route papers from the garden groove collection - just perfectly matched all the colorful birds, and noticed how that green parrot is looking straight at the camera... smile birdie!

Supplies used include:
pattern paper: scenic route - garden groove collection
embellishments: robin nest dew drops, scenic route - life is good chipboard collection, scenic route chestnut dat label stickers, prima flowers
** all items available at MWL **
own embellishment: october afternoon rub-ons
-------------------------------------------------------

Did this second layout for my sister - the picture was taken when we were in Spain last year. I think that's the first family vacation - me, sis and mummy - since like forever. Can't remember the last time we went somewhere together, given that we are ususally in different countries (i was working in europe for over 2.5 years and now working in singapore, mummy's in thailand and sis still working in US).

Supplies used include:
pattern paper: pink paislee - enchanting collection
embellishments: prima flowers, pink paislee enchanting chipboard, robin nest dew drops, october afternoon rub ons

thanks for stopping by and hope you like the pictures, still learning how to use my new camera (ruben got me a canon 1000D for my b-day) - feel free to drop any pointers by.
