Generations

did this simple in layout in less than 20 mins (well that is after i figured out which papers to use and the layout design, which i finally settled for the current pencil line sketch). so, did i say this is a simple layout....

when i first saw this picture, taken during my morning wedding ceremony in bangkok, i just fell in love. the photographer managed to capture that special moment when one of my relative was pouring the blessed water on our hands to wish us all the best in our coming years together. for me, the picture symbolizes old and new and the passing of happiness from one to another...

Our trip to borobudur

Last month we had the opportunity to go away for the long weekend... and we went to jogjakarata, indonesia to visit one of the main highlights... the borobudur temple. It truly is an amazing monument, amazing that it has lasted through time and is here for us to enjoy. There were some damages, some of the buddha statues that been tempered with... but all in all... is a sight to be treasured.

Here's a simple layout i just finished to capture the various parts of the temple... had to restrain myself from adding more and more stuff to the LO. and love love love cosmo cricket papers... they are so versatile and colorful (and helps bring the color to these pictures and LO)!!!

what is happiness...

the biggest question of all... (at least for me at the moment) ... what is happiness? what makes us smile each moment, makes us want to get out of bed in the morning, drives us during the day... and of course, gives us the power to get through the tough times?

i have no idea...

but what i do know, is that scrapbooking allows me to escape to another world and reading all the comments, always put a smile on my face...

here's a little something that i created to capture the moment... happiness? and also experiment with mixing papers / brands and plus i think it's been awhile that i've used sassafras. always lovin their style.

One more...

did this layout for the "let's get shabby" challenge - challenge#3: white/cream and one hint of color... and of course with my favorite color - green. It's been awhile since i did something this vintage, but it seems as thou i still can't let go of the neat and clean lines (as you can see from the placement of the pattern paper)... would like to say that my style is a mix between modern and shabby or is this what they call shabby chic?... what do you think?

A little bit of this and that...

Had alot of fun working on the assignment for Made With Love this weekend - couldn't decide on a layout so made two with the papers given. For this week had to work with Bella Blvd (have to admit this is my first time) and was wondering at first how to pull this off. The colors were so rich and bright (abit brighter than what I am used to), but once I got started well... guess you can figure out the rest...

For the first one, just had fun with all the colors and labels from the bella blvd flirty and plastino collection. Add in the butterfly stamp for a bit of shabby chic feel... (stamp is from purple onion).

For the second one, went a bit crazy with all the new primas (who can resist right?)... and also the tim holtz crackle paint, especially the rock candy color - clear one used on the green frame (thanks sharon for recommending this - having a blast!). Also got out the glimmer mist and misted everywhere, including the prima flowers... and yes, i know... once i started with the butterflies, just couldn't stop...
